Bio:*The below picture was drawn by www.mudblood428.com after she read my one shot,
In Her Room. If you'd like to illustrate one of my stories, I'd be thrilled! Send me an e-mail if you're interested :)*
Hello there. My name is Brittany, I’m a 22 year old college student (currently with a 3.8 GPA- which is why I don’t update often, lol), and I live in Nevada. I'll always reply to your reviews, so if you have questions or comments, leave a review and I'll get right back to you :) Enough about me though-- here is some information about my stories:
Novels
As It Seems: My first Harry Potter fan fiction, EVER. This story follows Harry's sixth year at Hogwarts, though it doesn’t hold to HBP canon. The plot has a bit of mystery, angst, and of course, humor, involved, but it’s really a fluffy story detailing the eventual romance of Harry and Ginny. It’s still one of my favorite stories that I’ve written.
Complete.
What’s Left to Give: The idea for this story actually came from a one shot that I wrote on
FictionAlley titled,
Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again. I deleted the one shot once I wrote this story, but several parts of it remain in the Prologue. Anyway, this story is a lot darker and more realistic, I think, than anything I've previously written. Most of the plot follows the journey that Ron, Hermione, Harry and Ginny must take to integrate back into normal life after the fall of Voldemort, though there are several twists and turns to keep you on your feet. Mystery, romance, revenge, secrets and humor also help make up the plot, which is my longest HP fan fiction to date. I started and finished this before Deathly Hallows was published, so it doesn’t follow along with DH-canon.
Complete.
Harry Potter and the Importance of the Prophecy: I started this story on a whim, after deciding that I wanted to write a 7th year fan fiction. I only got about three chapters in when I realized that there are enough 7th year stories out there already, and I didn’t feel like I had anything else to add to thousands of brilliant variations. Now that Deathly Hallows has been released, I really find no need to continue on with this story, so I think it ends here. :)
On Permanent Hiatus/Removed.
All Things Understood: I got the idea for this story pretty randomly; I was on my way to work one day, thinking about the Pensieve (of all things), and I suddenly got the idea for this plot. The story is post HBP, and doesn’t hold to DH canon, though it’s in the same “universe” as
Why I Hate Valentines Day (I wouldn’t call this story a sequel, however- they just exist in the same universe). I’m currently putting this story on hold to work on my current novel, but I am re-reading the Harry Potter series and am planning to finish this story in the near future.
On Hiatus.
Remember Me: I'm not much of an AU writer- as you'll notice, most of my stories follow HP canon pretty closely, give or take a book or a few details. However, this story is my first one that deviates from canon, in order to tell my original plot. I'm really enjoying writing this story, and moreso , reading all of your reactions to it. A bit of angst, a bit of romance and a whole lot of mystery make up this plot, and I hope you all enjoy reading as much as I've enjoyed writing it.
In Progress.
One Shots
Smile For Me, Please: My first one shot, with a minor canon error in it- Harry and Ginny couldn’t possibly be in the same Charms class, seeing as how they’re in different years. I might rewrite this one, but it's still a fairly sweet bit of fluff :)
In Her...trilogy: This soon-to-be trilogy includes the one shots,
In Her Room and
In Her Eyes which revolve around Harry’s relationship with his young daughter, Grace. There will be one more in the series (hence the stuff about it being a trilogy), which I haven't written yet. Look for it soon, though ;)
What Matters Most: Is a fun holiday one shot that I wrote one afternoon before Christmas. Filled with fun, fluffiness, and OBHWF…what more can you ask for? ;)
Next Year, Baby: This is just a little plot bunny I had swimming around in my head for months. One of my favorite singers happens to be Jamie Cullum, and his song, "Next Year, Baby" is one of my favorites. For some reason, I couldn't listen to the song without picturing Harry and Ginny, and I finally was inspired at midnight one evening to just write the story. There may be a sequel from Ginny’s POV, but I'm not sure yet ;P
Why I Hate Valentines Day: I wrote this one shot one afternoon after reflecting upon my own cynical attitude towards V-day. This is told from Ginny’ POV and is one of my favorite one shots that I’ve written.
Coming Soon: I've just begun an outline for a short novel which will consist of lots of comedy and fluff (which will be a nice change after writing something as heavy as
Remember Me.) I will likely start writing it soon and it will probably be posted not too long after I post the last chapters of Remember Me.
I always have tons of ideas floating around in my head, but I never have nearly enough time to write all the stories I wish I could. I’d really like to write a story surrounding the trio + Ginny's summer at the Burrow before HBP, and I might start on that once I near the end of my current stories.
You can certainly look forward to more one shots, and updates of my current story. Thanks for your support... ♥Brittany
