I saw most of the Harry Potter movies first before I read the books then I was hungry for more. That's how I came to fan fiction. Then I thought maybe I could write too.

BTW It might seem odd, even big-headed, that I've made my own stories as favourites. It's just so I get an email when a chapter is validated. I can't think of any other way of knowing. Maybe I've missed something so let me know if so.

I like SIYE. I think the reader support is great and it has been really encouraging to get reviews - so a big THANK YOU! The only thing I miss is there is no community forum to share ideas. If anyone knows of an SIYE forum or thread elsewhere then let me know. I couldn't find one.

A word about ratings. The ratings I give out are generally low compared to others' average and might seem mean, but I am consistently fair with all stories. I use a 'global' scale, measuring each chapter against the best literature. Consider if you gave a chapter a rating of 10 and then someone else posts another of the quality, scope, and emotion of say, a chapter from A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, or Lord of the Rings, or, of course, one of JKR's own chapters. Shall we give that a 10 as well? So I hope you don't feel to badly if I rate your story as 60% or 70% compared to the 100% I might give a classic - that is very acceptable indeed.
