Likes: canon variations - eg canon pairings, new storyline; serious 6th+7th year fics; Compelling tales. Humour.

Dislikes: manipulative Dumbledore; badly spellchecked fics; other wizarding cultures badly meshed with the english one. Slash. Poor or non existant britpicking- eg graduation wtf is a Valedictorian. We Brits dont have them.

Hates: Yanks. Especially when they are portrayed with a sympathetic cultural air. The attitudes of the muggle southern states make english pureblood culture look liberal.
Also the engine used for the hogwarts express in the films, but thats just an irrepresible Gresley Man talking.

Actually, I think that Yanks comment needs a little clarifying. I don't hate americans - I have several close freinds who are american. I hate their pointless inclusion into fanfiction with no regard for things like the surprisingly large cultural differences between two superficially similar nations.
