Harry smiled at Ron and Hermione as they were declared “Husband and Wife.” He felt tears brim in his eyes as he saw their happiness, and then looked over at Ginny. She looked insecure and moody, but happy none the less.

She is so beautiful, even when she’s… he stopped his train of thought. No one could tell, you couldn’t even tell if you knew, the concealment charm had shown to that. And only three people in this room knew, besides her. He almost laughed but instead cringed when he remembered how Ron beat him up when he found out.

“What the HELL have you done to my little sister?” he screamed and he punched Harry in the face.
“Ron, I swear, it wasn’t my idea…”
“Like I believe that! You could have been delusional, you DID just come out of a stupid coma!” he screamed and punched him again.
“Ron, seriously, I was happy that he was alive,” piped Ginny, her face pale and her eyes round and fearful.
“Ginny, I don’t care who’s idea it was, the fact that you did it after what happened to Hermione and me, I thought you had more sense!” he screamed and punched him again. Hermione was crying and Ginny wailing.
“Ron, lay off him!” screamed Hermione.
“No! When he and Ginny started going out he PROMISED this wouldn’t happen! Promised! He will never live to see his child, after I beat him up I will tell all my brothers and THEY will beat him up!” he screamed and punched him again. Harry was moaning softly, blood dripping down his face. Hermione finally pulled Ron off and kept him away.
“Ron, can’t we just give him advice in this situation? Why can’t we?” she yelled.

Hermione had probably saved his life right then and there, the way Ron had been punching him. And he never did tell his brothers. Now Ron and Hermione were getting married, and he hadn’t even thought of asking Ginny the famous question. When he saw Ron and Hermione so happy, his thoughts automatically turned to that.

“To Ron and Hermione, my best mates since… I was 11!” he declared at the wedding party. He toasted to them and they smiled with glee.
“Thanks Harry!” Hermione said and kissed him on the cheek. He blushed but stopped immediately. Ginny was staring at him.

Ginny waved him over and he immediately went.
“Look at them, they are so rapped up in each other,” commented Mr. Weasley. Mrs. Weasley nodded in agreement.

“Yah. I wonder…”

“Molly dear, what?”

“Do you think that they have had…?”

“No Molly, I don’t. I trust Harry, more than ever now that he has saved us all from the Dark Lord.”

“But dear… look at them…”

“Molly, give them a chance, is what I say!” he concluded with an air Molly knew all too well. Whenever Arthur had made up his mind about something, he was not to be questioned and argued with. But she couldn’t help wondering…
She saw them in a deep conversation and not looking at anyone. She decided to go and see what they were talking about. She didn’t even hear snippets of the conversation; they were talking in such low voices.

“Harry, I really think… Oh hello Mum!” she said in a high voice. Molly stared at her, so then decided to be up front.

“So, what are you two talking about?”

“oh um nothing,” Ginny said in a small and scared voice. Molly raised her eyebrow and Ginny exclaimed loudly,

“Seriously Mum, nothing!”
Molly shrugged, and went back to the party.

“Phew, that was close,” sighed Harry as Ginny also sighed.

“Yah, do you think Mum knows?” she asked.

“No, I don’t. I think she is a little suspicious though.”

“Oh wonderful. Now we will have HER on our case, when my brothers already suspicious, one of my brothers already KNOWS it and is just being held back by Hermione before he kills you…”

“Don’t worry Ginny, everything will be fine.”

“You say,” she sneered and turned back to her pudding. Harry sighed and walked back to his place. Ginny was getting EXTREAMLY emotional lately and all her brothers just think she is having a very long monthly. But lately…

Bill turned to her and whispered something in her ear, and she sneered at him so Harry knew it wasn’t just him (Harry), it was everyone.

Suddenly, he looked at Hermione and Ron, their happiness, little Alicia and Eric cooing in their arms, he knew what he had to do.

Harry was scratching away at his desk, he eyes tired and the magical light burning steadily amidst the darkness of the night. He knew that this was the thing that would make him and Ginny closer or less close. It was a scary thought. He had bought a blank card that you could write on the front of, and then say an incantation and a design, depending on the poem you wrote, would come up. Of course, you got to write on the inside too.
Mumbling was heard from his lips as he tried to write what he meant. A piece of parchment was being constantly scribbled on.

“Sweet… sweet rhymes with… no…” he muttered and almost yelled with fury.

“Dear… near! Yah that’s it… wait…”

“Song… wrong! No… wait… maybe…”

Writing poetry was apparently not as easy as it looks, Harry had found out that long night. But as he finished his poem and wrote it on the card, he let out a gasp. It was dawn.

“Ginny dear, Harry is here to see you,” called Mrs. Weasley from the bottom of the stairs at the burrow. It was weird that Ron wasn’t there, but then again, it was weird that Bill and Charlie weren’t there either.

“Coming!” she called and ran down the stairs. She had on a crinkled skirt and a sweater.

“Well you look nice,” Molly commented. Her little baby was growing up. But she saw that she had her wand in her pocket. Hmm.

“Thank you. Don’t worry about us Mum, we’ll be fine, and we won’t do anything stupid.”

“Well okay,” she sighed. Ever since the Ron and Hermione incident she had been very over protective of the rest of her unmarried children.

“By the way,” she yelled after her retreating back, “why do you have your wand with you?”

“Um…” her concealment charm was going to wear off when she was out, but she knew that her mother was thinking that she was going to do a contraceptive charm instead, “nothing, just in case danger comes, you know, there are still a lot of rampaging death eaters about.”

“Ginny, I really think that you shouldn’t have your wand on you, you know. Even though you are of age now, I think that you should be careful,” Ginny was going to keep fighting.

“Mum, I am NOT going to do a contraceptive charm and have sex! You know that!

“Oh fine, just go,” she murmured and sent her out the door. Ginny was pushed out and she stumbled. Harry caught her.

“Hello love,” he whispered as she straightened up. She smiled and held his hand as they left the porch.

“So what do you want to do Harry?” she asked with a smile on her face.

“Well, do you want to go for a walk?”

“Sure.”

They rambled down the street, his hand caressing hers. She smiled.

“Um, Ginny…” he stammered as they were nearing the park. Her stomach was growing.

“Oh, its time,” she murmured and performed the charm, which lasted twelve hours. She had to wake up at eight every morning and had to do the charm at eight every night. Before she came of age Hermione had to do it for her, or Harry or Ron, but Ron did it reluctantly.

“Mum should know,” he had said before the first time he performed the charm.

Harry felt himself staring at Ginny as she got back to normal. She was so beautiful, he thought again.

“Ginny, do you want to go to the park? It is rather lovely this time of year,” he murmured softly. She smiled and nodded.

They entered the park and they sat down on the soft grass. He was pulling something out of his pocket. She smiled when she saw it was one of his cards. He handed it to her and she read the cover. There were read hearts all over it and his handwriting was the lettering.

Kisses loving and kisses long
Kisses light and kisses strong

Kisses small and kisses dear
Your kisses, I hope, will always be near

Kisses sweet and kisses fine
Will your kisses always be mine?

Ginny opened up the card and gasped. A ring was taped to the inside, and written was

Ginny, will you marry me? And before you go back to school?
Love, Harry

Ginny gasped and smiled.

“Yes Harry, I will!” she cried and flung her arms around him. He smiled and hugged her. She ripped off the ring from the card and slipped it on her finger.

“Look, they’re coming back! I wonder what took them so long?” muttered Mrs. Weasley as the two were walking back to the house. They were holding hands, and Ginny’s hand was tightly enclosed in Harry’s so that you couldn’t see it. They were laughing and Ginny looked ecstatic. As they approached the house she went to the doorway.

“Well you two look like you had fun,” she said, a little menacingly but mostly kindly as they walked through the door.

“Oh yes, Mummy guess what?”

“What is it now? I need to go soon and I expect Harry does too,” she said impatiently.

“We’re getting married!” she cried and showed the hand that was enclosed in Harry’s. Molly gasped and cried,

“That is wonderful! Oh when?”

“August 27th,” she whispered. They decided that was the best day.

“Oh. Well that is next week! We should get ready! And Harry you are welcome to stay here, I realize that you were staying in a dingy old flat and you’re part of the family now, so…”

“Well, thank you Mrs. Weasley, but I really couldn’t…”

“Oh nonsense! You will stay here, sell that flat, and look for a house. Oh I’m so giddy!” she cried and smiled happily.

Harry smiled and went up to Ron’s room, where he was to be staying then apparently. He flicked his wand and his things came flying. Ginny entered the room as Harry went into his trunk.

“Hello Harry,” she sighed as he began to unpack.

“Hello Ginny, what’s wrong? I would think you happy,” he laughed and Ginny sighed.

“Mum is well… Mum is being very excited. And she hasn’t even asked why so soon yet, so I bet Dad will…”

“Don’t worry Ginny, it will be okay. We’ll tell him we’d like to be married before you go back to school. You can you know, you are of age,” he explained and his pajamas flew out.

“Yes, well, that is true… should I leave?” she asked as Harry wanted to get dressed.

“It’s not like you haven’t…”

“Yes, but Harry, you know that Mum…”

“Oh yah, well goodnight Ginny.”

“Good night Harry,” she smiled and kissed him.
She walked out the door and Harry sighed,

“Kisses sweet.”
