The story begins one year after Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger leave Hogwarts. In that year, the trio all go their separate ways in the career area. Harry joined the ministry and began his three year auror training. Ron was signed as keeper for the Chudley Cannons and soon became the hero of the team. Hermione went into further education and began to study to become a healer. During the year after the trio left Hogwarts many changes were brought about in the wizarding world. Cornelius Fudge was demoted from Minister for Magic and he was replaced by none other than Arthur Weasley. Dumbledore's death, meant that Minerva McGonagall became the new headmistress at Hogwarts. With Voldemort defeated on the 26th June, that day was made an international wizarding holiday, known as Harry Potter Day. Known Death Eaters, such as Bellatrix Lestrange and Peter Pettigrew were locked up in Azkaban, with new security measures in place, ensuring that the criminals of the past would never again be free. Everyone were celebrating like maniacs around eastertime when Ron WEasley and Hermione Granger announced their wedding, with none other than Harry Potter, himself, as the best man. Harry himself, had managed to keep his romance away from the press, considering that his girlfriend did not need the hassle of the media, especially in her NEWT year. Harry stayed in almost constant contact with his girlfriend writing at least once every two days, which meant a lot of flying for Hedwig. Arthur Weasley added new levels and security to the Burrow making it bigger and better. Harry, Ron and Hermione moved in together at Gimmauld Place, which Harry had inherited rom Sirius. Now fit for human habitation, the three teenagers had decorated the house with photographs of the order, the original order, themselves, Ron's family, Hermione's family, Harry's parents and Sirius, Harry's girlfriend and their classmates at Hogwarts. Ron had also added Cannons posters and quidditch pictures in almost every room. Harry hosted regular parties for all his friends. He was finally free, Voldemort was dead. He no longer had the thoughts of his destiny hanging over him. He had the best friends that a man could possibly have and the most beautiful, wonderful girlfriend that Harry could ever imagine. The entire wizarding world loved Harry. No longer did they think him mad, or attention seeking or a dramatic little hero who wanted nothing more than to be worshipped. Most realized now what Harry really was. A young man who had suffered terribly at the hands of Voldemort and had got his revenge. Harry Potter deserved nothing more than to be happy. Naturally, Harry was top of the class in his Auror training. Five people had been taken on from his year at Hogwarts. Himself, Seamus Finnegan, Susan Bones, Padma Patil and Neville Longbottom. Neville had made sure that he got revenge on Bellatrix Lestrange. Harry remembered that day well, the day of the last battle, the day when Neville tortured Lestrange using the Cruciatus curse, and how Neville had relished the moment. Because of her all his parents had ever given him was empty gum wrappers. They didn't know him, they couldn't love him, they knew nothing. They just survived. Almost as though they had been kissed by dementors. But Neville sought revenge, just like Harry, and that was what he got... |
