i thought this chapter was really well written. you have gone to alot of trouble to get our "brit speak"! sometimes its frustrating when you read a good story, and then a mannerism that isn't british is used and it can ruin it, and you have gone to alot of effort - so thank you!
and back to petunia - shes finally getting her eyes opened! wasn't expectin the james part tho!

And yeah, the James thing - I thought it might explain a lot about Petunia's attitude, plus as the "plain" sister, she was bound to be jealous of Lily's handsome, charming boyfriend/husband. It made all kinds of sense to me - glad it surprised you! I think it's fun to surprise readers.

Nice chapter... i hope harry's and her aunt's relationship becomes good... tough i think it would be impossible on harry's side after that relevation.

I think the reason some, including myself, are having problems with "Rumania" is because that is not the way it has been in any of the books.
Excellent story. Just finished Refiner's Fire and have started on this one. Let's just hope Harry does not end up in the hospital wing so much this year. Back to reading!

Ew! Ew! Ew! When Petunia was stroking Harry and calling him James - ew! Ew! Ew! Shudder. I was still trying not to vomit when Molly turned her into the cow patty. HA! Now, I can't stop laughing. Tonks tried so hard to help Petunia and Dudley understand, and Petunia ends up as a steaming pile of poop. Oh well. Yes, maybe she will still wise up. So, Harry has a license. Is he going to claim Sirius' motorcycle? Fun chapter, but I'm going to have to go gauge my eyes out if I keep picturing that moment between Harry and Petunia.

I have read your Prequel The Refiner's Fire, and I thought that was a brilliant piece of writing, and was deeply saddened when it ended. I was esctatic to find out you were writing a sequel. I've only two chapters so far but it seems 'destined' to be as good if not better than the Refiner's Fire. Please keep writing

Auth or's Response: Refiner's wasn't a "prequel" -- it was supposed to be a stand-alone fic, my idea of what JKR might write for the sixth year fic if she wrote it for adults. Then it spawned a sequel, which is "The Time of Destiny." I'm so glad you enjoyed Refiner's and are enjoying Destiny! Thanks for writing!
