I thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. The letter from Lily to Hermione concerning Mercutio really tickled me. The inclusion of the 5 phoenixes into the storyline is a nice touch and I'm curious where they all end up. BTW, does Fawkes now belong to Harry? I've been wondering when the fighting would resume. But that was just a skirmish. I'm always amazed at hoe Bellatrix always seems to get away in every story I read.
Author's Response: Fawkes likes Hogwarts and plans to stay there. He feels Dumbledore's presence there even though he is gone...Bellatrix will find her end, worry not my dear.

Author's Response: Hagar is an old name, comes from the bible. I always liked it and two of my favorite names Hagar and Magdalena, come from the book Song of Solomon by Toni Morrison.

hum, never would have thought Big D would end up with a squib.. but i never thought he would be decent to Harry, or any of the many other thing related to Harry's muggle family.
The whole thing with the attack was great. Vernon getting so mad and throwing her out, and having had relations with dark wizards without knowing it. what will they do with him now? i think they should have left him in the house to take what he brought on himself. that was neat how you used Fleurs veela powers :-) never would have thought of that as a battle plan.

Quite good, though I'm mildly surprised that Vernon didn't stay behind at Privet Drive because of his aversion to the magical community. Interesting use of Veela powers, there. :-}
