I suppose most young couples have the occasional stupid argument. Poor Pansy. She really did not deserve such a terrible end. It seems odd that she was under the enchantment of a dead witch. I would have thought that when Bellatrix died any enchantment she had cast would fade. At least Harry and Ginny finally talked and forgave one another.

It's so sad that Pansy killed herself. I'm glad that Harry and Ginny are ok though and that they're back together. They're made for each other.

Author's Response: Yup, I think Harry and Ginny belong together too. Abraxan

Nice Drama ... but i think harry went a bit over a top by throwing droppings on her in his raven form... that really was a shock!!!

yet another excellent chappie which has been well written. wow harry and ginny's first fight together as a couple and a nice way to bring them back even though it was marred by the death of pansy parkinson. looking forward to seeing how things go and to see the sceme that concerns the malfoys are up to. keep the excellent work up and i can't wait for all future chapters to come. 10/10 as usual and everytime.

Author's Response: Thanks a lot! Abraxan

bloody hell! well at least this shows that even story relationships go through hard times...this was test of their love for each other and they came out of it ok! great chapter...and i wonder how many more times harry will be poisoned or injured before this is all over!

CodeRomance

Author's Response: Yup, even the best of relationships go through hard times, in real life as well as in stories. Glad you enjoyed it!

Very sweet. It was hard for me to believe Ginny would say what she said, and hard for me to believe Harry would drop her for it without discussing things further. I like the resolution here, but I doubt it would take a life threatening situation for them to reconcile. Still, I love the story and look forward to the rest.

I don't believe pre-marital sex is right generally, but love and commitment are more important than ceremony, and these two couples have that. Your descriptions have been tasteful and tender.

The scene with Molly and Ginny over her "tormenting" Harry was very funny. I also liked Remus' intuition about it. Believable.

Author's Response: Believe it or not, I don't believe pre-marital sex is right either, but these two couples are essentially married in their hearts, and it makes a better story if they do what teenagers normally do (no matter what we adults *believe* and try to teach our kids, an awful lot of teens just do what their hormones tell them to). I'm glad you're enjoying the story! Thanks for writing! Abraxan

Great chapter and a lot happening. I can understand how Ginny must have felt about the Charity Shop clothes.....Pansey??? always thought she wasn't as bad as she was painted , but when you have the brush as an author you can paint her as you imagine her. I was glad to see Harry come to his senses with Ginny, her selflessness during the attempt should have proven to Harry that she was the girl for him. Again you put out a great chapter and I really enjoyed the read, again a big 10. Thanks, Regards.......................

Author's Response: Yeah, well, nobody ever said teenaged boys were the sharpest knives in the drawer all the time - they all have spells when they get a case of the "dumbs," LOL! This was one of Harry's times to do that. I'm glad he came to his senses too! Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Abraxan

Wow. That was... different. In a good way. The beginning was good then when Harry overheard what Ginny said, I think he went a bit overboard with the whole breaking up with her and not talking to reason but I guess if you look at it as he's never felt himself truly worthy of anything and then hearing that from someone that loves him... Anyway, the end was sweet. I don't like that Pansy killed herself but it does fit. I think stories with "nice Pansys" and "reformed Dracos" can be really good. The ones I've read are at least. There was one that I read that wasn't so good but it wasn't horrible either....

Back to the point, this was another good chapter. It was a pretty emotional chapter again but not so much so that was a change. Good job!

Avalon

Author's Response: Harry is a very damaged person in some ways, because of the way he grew up (with the Dursleys). You're right, he's never considered himself to be worthy of anything, and hearing that just broke his heart, poor guy. Pansy killing herself was hard to write, but it fit the story. Glad you liked it. Abraxan

I can 't believe Harry pooped on Ginny. If I didn't feel bad for the two of them, I would've laughed. I'm glad you didn't drag out the misunderstanding too long. I'm surprised he resisted talking to her as long as he did. Good thing she was there to save his hide (again) and put herself at risk to snap him out of it. Fantastic job as always!

Author's Response: Thanks very much! Yeah, the pooping incident was one of those "too awful to laugh about, but darned funny if you look at it just right" kind of things. LOL! Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Abraxan

Author's Response: Thanks! Yeah, even Harry has limits to how far he can be pushed - and we know he has quite a temper, he just hasn't shown it to Ginny before this. She's lucky that's all he did. Glad you liked the chapter! Abraxan

Nice job, as always. I read on your profile that the story's finished and that a sequal's almost done, and I'm having the worst time supressing my impatience to see what's next! The Harry/Ginny break-up was very well done. They've got to have a fight at some point (no one gets along all the time), and you crafted the situation very well. Both Harry and Ginny had legitimate and characteristic reasons for acting/speaking the way they did, and I didn't come away from it feeling like it was the fault of one or the other. The conversation between the Malfoys was a little forced. Is there some reason Lucius and Draco would meet so far outside of school grounds, when Draco can't even apparate properly, if they weren't going to even use the concealment that the shack offered? So I guess the situation is a bit too convenient in terms of what Harry and Ginny can overhear without much risk to themselves, and in the vary ambiguous statements made by Malfoy Sr. Anyway, I loved the chapter - please update soon!

Author's Response: Hi, Erin! You can read Refiners and Destiny on my Yahoo group (the link is in each chapter on this site). Glad you liked how the H/G fight went, and thought it made sense! I think every conversation between the Malfoys sounds forced, actually, so I was trying to keep them in character. Lucius isn't allowed on Hogwart's grounds (I'm in the middle of writing Destiny right now, so I could be confused, but hasn't he recently escaped from Azkaban? So he certainly wouldn't want to be on Hogwarts grounds, where he'd be likely to be caught!) Draco has, like Harry, found ways to sneak off the grounds, but not "into" the Shack. The Shack is rarely visited "up close and personal" by the average person, so it's a secluded enough place to meet, but they wouldn't want to meet INSIDE because it's *so haunted* and Malfoys simply can't be bothered by annoying ghosts and poltergeists! heehee Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Okay, you had me worried there for a minute with H/G breaking up. Poor Pansy. This was a great chapter and full of different things going on. I wonder what Draco and Lucius are up to. Can't wait for the next one.

Author's Response: Heehee -- I like to keep you guys guessing! Glad you enjoyed the chapter! Thanks for writing. Abraxan

wow...you'll probably be on your way to becoming an excellent writer someday! It's so cute and fluffy in this chapter :), of course a bit sad and upset during the period of the minor break up they had but i knew you'd find a way through that and have them back together happy again :). The Refiner's Fire is currently my favorite story, and it shall forever be stuck in my Favorites to see any updates and new chapters :P. Keep writing please!

Author's Response: Yes, I'm working on that "excellent writer" thing -- my next project after "Destiny's" finished ("Destiny" is the sequel to Refiner's) is a story that can actually be published and make me some money! Glad you're enjoying Refiners! There are 40 chapters in Refiners -- now you know how many to watch for! :-) Thanks for writing! I'm glad you're enjoying the story! Abraxan

Hi, I am enjoying your story very much, please keep the chapters coming. lee steele

Author's Response: Hi, Lee! I'm glad you're enjoying the story! The chapters will keep coming on a regular basis until Refiners is finished -- there are 40 chapters in Refiners. Its sequel is on my Yahoo group, with 15 chapters of "The Time of Destiny" online so far. There will probably be 35 chapters in Destiny (I'm still writing the first draft of it). Thanks for writing! Abraxan
