Very sad but I liked the unique style of writing. Perhaps next time you should emphasize the text when it's the letter or when it's present-tense, like italics or the like.
It's a good story, albeit sad, and I hope you write more!

Oh, that's sad! I like your writing style, it's very good. Is there going to be more, though? Because if not, that's not much of an ending :) A lot of loose threads. Very good!!
