Wow, how intriguing. Snape is much more helpful than in canon, and I don't mind it. I hope this means no redemption for the Malfoys.
I love your slight diversions from canon. Harry's disappearance from the clearing makes the next chapter even more interesting. I'm pretty curious where he'll re-appear.

Wow O Wow! What an awesome chapter! Always thought it poignant the Voldeschmuck never knew he had destroyed a piece of his own soul when he tried to kill Harry! Glad you had Harry say Ginny's name when he got hit with the kedavra - Kloves completely blew that aspect in DH 2! Glad Snape still ended up a hero but certainly in an unexpected way! Ginny and his friends and loved ones are gonna have a herd of cows when they find out what he did! Can't wait for what happens next! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I like your chapter of Harry's "death" so much better than the original! You have all the elements but none of the melodrama or the long, drawn-out musings Harry goes through in canon. I'm so glad that Snape was the one to tell Harry how to escape. I know he'll probably pay with his life, making Snape a hero in his own right, but since that's canon and since Harry doesn't need his memories, having it happen in the forest is best for everyone, I think. Well done.
