Ah yes, finally. Not the break-through yet, but the first step as it seems - even a big step. Maybe they should look for old newspapers to find out about their past, newspapers from the time before the charm. I would start looking under Sirius's bed, lol.
It almost sounds as if the chamber incident happened during the fifth year. But that would only make sense if the TWT and the fatal third task didn't happen in the fourth year, wouldn't it?
Fifth year? Umbridge? Does she have anything to do with the missing memories? On the other hand, no 3rd task means no Voldemort. No Voldemort means no Umbridge. But who knows...
I take it Fawkes turned up because Harry yelled his name. I wonder what kind of help he's bringing this time.
Isn't it funny that the Muggles do the same thing nowadays as the Ministry does with the registration forms? It even works without those forms, but online, automatically in the background. Of course, it is only done to present personalized ads - and almost everyone believes that

Whoa! Not only fasten your seatbelt but get ready for the airbags to deploy! And a great cliffy with Fawks appearing! Glad Harry and Ginny finally realized what happened to them in the chamber! Only question is whether it was the ministry or Dumbledore that memory charmed them! Would be willing to be a round at the 3 Broomsticks those forms are some kind of pure-blood registration/tracking
