Ah yes; it could be a bit awkward having your boyfriends mother able to look in on you that way. Ginny and Harry will need to find a ghost-proof broom closet somewhere. I like your take on the application of the blood magic. It’s interesting and unique. I’m anxious to she how Ginny works it.

I've enjoyed your story so I hope this will be helpful. There is a big gap in chapter two, because at the end of chapter one, Ginny indicated she had a plan to deal with Harry's concerns about Ron's 'overprotectiveness'. What happened to that? I kept looking for it, but it never materialized, and I found that a distraction. Otherwise, good story.
Author's Response: Sorry for the confusion. That is a great point. My rationale is that Harry has the issue. He is afraid of Ron's reaction, and has not tried anything for that reason. Lily and Ginny agreed that Ron would be okay with it, they just needed to give Harry a little push. Her wicked plan was to kiss him after the Quidditch match, since it would be in public, she would initiate it, and Ron would witness it. Ginny felt that it would let Harry off the hook of making the first move, and would show him that it would be okay. That is somewhat supported in canon. Harry thinks he is initiating the kiss, but it could have been mutual. And we all know that Ron gives them his blessing.

You have a very interesting story....I usually don't read challenges until the story is finished (after the first chapter) but you had me drawn in on the first and I can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve.

Excellent! I like how smoothly this has fit in with canon although it will diverge a bit soon, at least for one short ritual as I have no doubts about Ginny getting her way in this. It is much too important to her for her to fail. Again, I really like the Lily/Ginny conversation. I was surprised by the book appearing outside her dream - powerful magic at work.

Author's Response: Thank you so much! The blood sacrifice was the first thing I thought of when I read about the challenge. Since that is how Lily saved Harry, I wanted to have her teach Ginny how to do it. I felt that would mirror the characters and show how deeply Ginny loves Harry.
