Loved Harry's nervousness about the car, the tips and al things muggle. He is so like a man that wants to show that he knows al the ropes and not wants to show that sometimes it's a guess for him too LOL

You are able to give to your story a touch of reality. Harry growing-up with the Dursley's (and Ginny in the wiz. world) have a big problem learning "how to do things" in the normal world and it's very eavy to learn by yourself with no "models". My life is similar, I growed-up very far from "modernity" and after was very hard to learn to do the rigth thing. So I could understand wery well the Harry feelings and the need to learn "how to do", flying, tips, wallets parking the car etc... Great job indeed, wonderul chapter, sweet and "real". I love particularly the song, very well suited.

Oh, how very clever of Harry to have scouted out how to work the system. I remember the trepidation of doing so many firsts on my first business trip away by myself; how intimidating the car rental counter was, the anxiety of wondering whether the hotel had reserved my room, and how baffling it was not to know how much to tip those who helped me. It felt terribly grown-up to do those things all by myself and I imagine that's just what was going through Harry's head.
I'm so glad Ginny was willing to go along with Harry's plans and that she was pleased she was going to have more time honeymooning in a beautiful place where she and her new husband didn't have to worry about being recognized. I sincerely hope they venture outside their room, but you know newly weds...
Another terrific chapter that left me grinning from ear to ear.
Author's Response: Yup, those feelings of insecurity, or not knowing the right thing to do, all that, are common experiences as we grow up and venture into the world. Harry wants to live a "normal' life, and this is just the beginning of it. I'm so glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for writing!

I don't recall seeing any mention that Harry let it be known that they were on their honeymoon -- I expect the leis would have been part of the package had he done so. :-}

Superb! I love how Harry was nervous about the car being driven away and guessing how much to tip. It made this part more real somehow. :-)
