I wonder if Ginny's retraction will make Harry feel comfortable dropping the issue or if it will encourage him to confide in her. As I said in an earlier review, Ginny is inconsistently consistent which is fitting for her age, so I'm not surprised she thought better of her indiscretion with the previous letter.. And I was sorry to see her lie but can't blame her for not wanting to divulge that little incident. I'm sure Harry will be grateful for the help on Flamel which might have him start to view he a bit differently as well.

Now I'm starting to see how the letters are affecting the characterizations. I'm aware of a major change in Ginny since the first chapter, and it is a good one. It is also unpredictable. On the surface, she may be developing that major crush on our boy, but there may also be enough sense in her to know that she could be rushing things. That was a great catch she made with the card, but then she turns around and gives it away. Holy smoke! Do you know what Dumbledore cards are worth. I am still nagry with my mother for giving away my baseball cards when I was a boy...including a Hank Aaron rookie card. Sigh. So far so good with the story. Eric B.

Weren't Ginny and her parents in Romania with Charlie during Christmas in Harry's first year?
Egypt was during summer before Harry's third year.
Author's Response: Yeah, I was wondering when someone would spot that...
Although it doesn't really matter in this story, I decided that it would be a bit more fun to switch the two. I'm not sure if I'll extend this story to the third year, but if I do, I think it'll be more fun to write about all the Weasleys with dragons, not tombs. I don't think Molly and Arthor would want Ginny anywhere near a dragon, so Romania didn't work as well for Harry's first year.

Best chapter so far! The poem is a nice plot twist. It was a pathetic piece of poetry, perfect for a 9 year old to have written. Your writing has improved with each chapter. That's the best way to get better: just keep writing.

I've never beta read before. :O I think I'm going to look it up though, and maybe practice at it a bit. Hmm...
But anyway, you probably need someone who knows what they're doing for your story. It's very cute! I think it was particularly Ginnyish to insist on hearing about Harry's past.
