Okay, so I finally managed to get around to reading the latest chapter and let me tell you it was well worth the wait. It was sweet and funny and made me cry. Personally, i think it's one of the best chapters you've ever written. This one part, that Fred said just made my heart turn to mush - I think Iām going to go upstairs and stare at my son for a bit - i mean oh precious is that?? And to hear it from Fred? It just ... i don't know it really touched me.
I'm so glad that Draco and Susan have custody of Lucia now and tears were rolling down my cheeks as i read that entire scene. How could anyone ever - to a baby?? Damn kate i hope you have Narcissa really suffer before she dies. i mean something really good. i'm also curious as to how she can be so cold and calculating - there's something i'm missing or not remembering but poor Draco i mean to think that his mother, the one who doted on him for so many years, who was his safe haven from his father turned out to be this evil witch of a woman who deserves hell for what she's done is just ... man i hope Susan whacks her good in some way. but im sure you have some wonderful plans in that way.
i was also glad to see Ginny and Harry together - and the insominacs club? and here i was thinking only ginny and sirius belonged to that one;). but i guess in times of such distress a lot of them would have trouble sleeping.
well overall it was really well-written and i dont know if it was my mood or what but i loved it and did cry and laugh. great job and i cant wait to read the next one!!

It was hard to write, but Lucia had to suffer, Draco will need the motivation to help her survive once Narcissa is killed...if she is killed...haven't decided yet. Hey I know I already left a review but when I was writing it I was being rushed by a certain impatient little brother of mine. And I wanted to add a few things.
First of all you most certainly do not suck at updating. Believe me I have stories that go three - six months between updates so (for me at least) a few weeks between updates is not too horrible. And besides your chapters are always worth it. Not that I'm inviting you to take that long (so any readers glancing at this review can just put away your pitchforks), but I don't want you to think you suck at updating. We just all get a little impatient because you have such a wonderful story here and we want to know what's gonna happen. But don't get me wrong, I'm as impatient as everyone else, and probably always will be, and I'll always be bugging you for the quickest update possible, its just how I am;)
Okay, now the rest is about the chapter.
Umm...urg now I forgot what I was going to say...Oh yeah! I loved that little "insomniac's club" bit. That was great! It really showed how tight a ...family (I guess) that these characters have made and how they draw strength from each other. Especially in the midst of all the the bad stuff they have to deal with, it was a nice touch. It think that's one of the things I love most about your story. You've developed these characters so well, they are all so realistic and all of them have so many different dimensions to their personalities, even the smaller one. The way they deal with all their problems is very real. And I love that these characters, even the ones without any marital(not sure if i spelled that right?) or blood relationships have comed together in one big, happy, but very realistic family. Okay that that's all I wanted to add.
Wow i think that's the longest review I've ever written. Excellent chapter as always. Well I can't say goodbye without asking you to update soon, so please update ASAP;)

Author's Response: At this point in the game, I want Draco to have a connection to his family. Long ago, he really did love his parents. Lucius wasn't entirely evil and didn't abuse his son. That said, he wants to keep the good alive.

I have no idea where I got Midas, but I like it. I'm glad you like Haven though, I'm pretty happy with it.

Well, things seem to be looking up for now, so Batty Bella's sister has got to be up to something not-so-good. :-/ The phrasing (near the end) with "The good the bad ... " followed by "She is beautiful," stuck me as mildly curious, given the recent release of the DVD set for the Sergio Leone movies. [OK; that was pretty much off-the-wall, but I can't help it....]
Good story-building in this chapter, but there were a couple of places where the wording was a little confusing for me. I didn't recall reading about Tatum Moody earlier, so when I read "The other trainees shunned her because they..." I wasn't sure who the "her" was who was being shunned. Then, in the first scene with Draco & Susan (in this chapter), when I read "He ached to see her gripped with fear in the dead of night,...," it took me a moment to realize that the "ache" was an effect of seeing Susan gripped with fear, rather than anticipation. (Draco doesn't tend to reform in most of the stories I read....)
The ceremony to retrieve Luci was nicely done, though (as noted earlier) the Devoted Mother (hmm... "DM" -- not to be confused with "Draco Malfoy") is likely to be completely unhinged by now....
Oh, hey! If Narcissa is a Black, and Harry's head of the Black household, could he pull the same ceremony to fetch Narcissa? That would seem to neatly avoid a world of hurt..... :-}
Author's Response: I do love your reviews. Narcissa is most definitely around the bend now. I like it when you are off the wall, because then I'm not alone. Tatum has been mentioned in passing only a few times in earlier chapters and will come more into play right after Reggie goes...oh wait...nevermind...Yes in my story, Draco is on the mend in every way...so keep that in mind. I'm glad you liked the scene that brought Lucia back...there should be a few things in there that will be helpful in the future...Please keep reviewing!

Yay Ginny's back home. Is she home for good or just a vacation? I'm so glad that Draco and Susan finally have custody of Lucia. OH MY GOD! what Narcissa put her daughter through, that poor baby!! I almost cried!!! Grrr...Narcissa needs to die a horrible, painful death then brought back to life and killed again in an even more painful way.
I liked your last few lines with Hermione talking about Draco being a romantic and Ron laughing. That was cute. Great chapter and as always very well written. Please update as soon as possible.
