Title: The Blue Rose
Great story, although it does seem like you're rushing through things a little to fast, but I guess that's just a matter of opinion, eh? Like I was saying, great story, this is just a suggestion, but try to have people use more spells than just "reducto." I don't mean to sound like I'm whining or anything, cause' your story is Awesome with a capitol A.
Author's Response: Truthfully, i think it's really stupid in the middle of a battle to show off all the spells you know. That's why Hermione was hurt in the DoM. If she'd have just stuck with a few effective ones, that wouldn't have happened. I use reducto as often as police use bullets. It's an effective spell that puts the enemy out of commisstion. When they take their O.W.L.s they can show off what other spells they know. In battle, they're just trying to survive, and thinking about every spell you know will slow you down.

What happened?
The writing in this fic was good to start with, the prose fluent and engaging - but the last few chapters have felt rushed and... well, twitchy. The writing has become clumsy, to be perfectly honest, which is a disappointing development for a fic that had such promise.
Take your time - you don't need to hurry through, you don't have a maximum word limit.
Author's Response: I'm sorry you fethat way. I truthfully put or effort io 'The Blue Roe' than almost any other chapter.
Perhaps you believe that surprise attacks should feel natuaral when they come. Maybe Dumbledore should have made an announcement beforehand...
In other words, I wanted that attack to feel as unexpected as any other time a whacko starts shooting up a classroom.

WHOA!!!!! Major action-filled chapter! I LOVE IT!!! I like how you changed Dumbledore's death, yet still had it very similar to canon (like the whole Snape-killing-him thing). But wow, so many people died! Colin, Dean, Luna, Neville... eh who needs 'em. Haha jk! But really, this is an amazing story and I'm so engrossed in it, so please please please update as soon as you can. 10/10

Author's Response: Thanks.
Unfortunately, war leads to casualties, and this isn't one of my stories where everything goes right and nobody dies.

Well! "Eventful" seems rather .... inadequate. Quite a few casualties, there. I'm a bit surprised that Dumbledore chose to engage Tom as quickly as he did: I didn't see an imminent threat to the school, as the bulk of Tom's supporters couldn't get through. But I could have mis-judged, certainly.
I was rather wondering, given the changes in their respective Patronus forms, what would happen if Harry & Ginny had tried casting Expecto Patronum while (say) holding hands -- though for this encounter, that would appear to be a moot point.
Hmmm... I don't recall seeing that the "Ministry cavalry" ever showed up. I suppose that's not especially surprising. Disappointing, perhaps....
So Harry's still alive -- as is Tom. Hmmmm..... the next chapter should be quite interesting, indeed.
Well done.
