YAY!!! peter pettogrew is dead! wow that sounded really cold hearted! but really, isnt the wozarding world better off withoug him? on second thought, the whole world is better off without him, wizard and muggle alike. he did blow up a street full of muggles killing... 12 i think? this was an interesting way of rewriting this portion of the story... lots of hogwarts teachers were being impersonated in this version! i really love that they didn't get to 'kill the spare' bc that was just an awful experience for everyone in the real book... not to mention the fact that they/you couldnt kill fred! i do wonder what ginny would feel if harry were to die though... i just hope i never have a reason to find out! fantastic story!

Whoo!! Once again, I have to extend my compliments to your brilliant little plot twists from the original book. This chapter, in that regard, shines. And for once, having a bond between two wizards ended up essentially saving the other one's life.
With Madam Bones as the Minister, however, I'm very, very curious to see how you will re-create the Order-Ministry tension that was such a staple of the OoTP plotline.
Don't keep us in the lurch now, mate! :D

This chapter was a bit choppy for my taste. I don't think it was needed that we read that Ginny could feel Harry's dread while in the maze. We already know they share feelings/emotions. I think it is enough for the readers and we can put it together that whatever Harry feels, she feels.
Dumbledore is a very hard character to write, but I think it is important to remember his calmness and control. I could never see him shouting "Oh no!" or stop to explain Voldemort's history while they are watching his rebirth. That is something that could wait until afterwards. Also, Voldemort - another hard character to grasp. If you had an easy time getting in his mind .. well then I'd be scared. But the truth is that, he doesn't care about his Death Eaters. I could see him Disapparating away without warning shout of "retreat". The amazingthing about the scene in the DoM in book 5 with Dumbledore and Voldemort is how relatively calm both of them are. There is no shouthing. Sure they are angry, but not to this extent.
Your writing has improved over the chapters like another reader stated, so bravo! This is a wonderful place to nurture your writing skills. One thing I would watch out for is listing everyone in the room multiple times. Reading "Molly, Arthur, Fred, George, Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermione, and Sirius" is a bit overwhelming. Simple tihngs like "the twins" or just "the Weasleys". After the first introduction to who is in the group you can assume most readers will be able to put together that they are still there. Such as in the stands writing "Ginny sat with the others". Since you told us before, we know who "the others" are.
Author's Response: I suppose I was redundant on names, and Ginny feeling everything.
As far as Dumbledore goes, he didn't stop to explain Tom's history, he was having a conversation while they were quickly walking toward the cemetery. When Dumbledore saw Voldemort, he thought that Harry, the only hope for the wizarding world, had died and momentarily lost his composure.
As far as Voldemort goes, he knew he needed some allies, which is why he told them to leave before they were all captured.

I've recently read through this whole story and I have to say that both the writing and plot seem to be getting pretty good in the latest chapters. Once you started to divorce yourself more from the canon, it really started to take off for me. Keep up the good work.

Very enjoyable, and one of the more plausible bond stories I've read.
One thing, though, which a lot of authors seem to be getting wrong... "Lord Voldemort" isn't an acronym of "Tom Riddle". It's an anagram (well, in its complete form, at least). An acronym of the full name would be "TMR", but "Lord TMR" doesn't sound as good... ;-)
