Another excellent chapter! I really liked how the prank revealed that Barty Crouch Jr.had taken Polyjuice Potion. Great idea.
I think I might have caught a mistake, though, in the following quote:
“That was amazing that Hermione did that in second year. That’s a N.E.W.T. level spell.”
Shouldn't that read "potion," not spell? There were probably spells that were required for such a difficult potion, so that could be correct. However, I'm guessing that you were referring to the entire process of making Polyjuice Potion as being N.E.W.T.-level, right? So, in my opinion, t would be more accurate to say something like, "That's N.E.W.T level work." But, it's your story, so you're in charge, of course.
It was also clever for them to use Hermione as a distraction for Moody, and I also enjoyed the irony of how close to the truth Harry had actually come with his "practicing Unforgivables on house-elves" ruse. For a moment, I wondered if Barty Crouch Jr. would have really performed hexes on house-elves for teaching purposes, considering how devoted and loving Winky had been to him, her master. But, then, I thought about how he let his ambition to re-join Voldemort drive him to stun her and leave her to take the blame for casting the Dark Mark at the Quidditch World Cup, even after she had cared for him all those years and was the one who convinced his father to let him go watch the match under his Invisibility Cloak. So, I decided that you were right. In the end, he didn't seem to see house-elves as sentient beings, just the means to an end, which was getting his freedom to go to Voldemort and also keeping up his disguise of being a teacher, because that would also help Voldemort.
To jump back a chapter or two, I really enjoyed the prank war between Harry and Ginny and the twins, although that lip-locking one could have been a big problem for Harry and Ginny, if Arthur and Molly had been really overprotective. I imagine that each of them getting "the talk" was painful, in its own way, especially for Harry, since it wasn't even his parent giving it to him. However, if her parents had overreacted, they might have tried to break the couple up for a while to keep them from becoming too passionate with each other. (Some parents have done exactly that, when they were afraid about what their child might be doing when alone with his/her girlfriend/boyfriend.) In a different situation, the twins' prank could have been a disaster, especially with Ginny being the only daughter, who is also the youngest child. Thank heavens that it seemed to blow over fairly easily. If it HAD been a major issue, then I guess everyone involved would have probably 'fessed up that Harry and Ginny hadn't really been snogging for hours straight. I wonder how long they'll wait before they're heading to the broom cupboards again. Probably not long, once their lips are healed. :)
Even though I haven't been reviewing many chapters, I'm loving your story. Great job!

o wow thats a MASSIVE change! i cant wait to see how it'll all play out with the real Moody being there and Crouch Jr. in prison. Will Voldemort be able to regain his body as quickly/the same way? (don't answer that lol) Many questions have arisen now... way to keep up interest!

Well, I guess you want to have a good Doubledumb. The man who sat on his ass for 12 years not concerned that Sirius had been sent to Azkaban without a trial. Now, if you could explain how your Doubledumb couldn't tell a fake Moody (how long would it take you to realize that something just wasn't right about one of your very good friends) and use a little legilimency on him?

Amazing, the "ripples" from a slight change! Barty Jr. is detected well before he can do much damage -- and Sirius may have a chance at part of a "normal" (well, for Sirius) life...! Very nice!

ok i just finished reading this and it is interesting. but one thing bothers me, i think u made harry and ginny start dating way too young. i think maybe if you had them start out as friends and maybe get together at the end of the following year right before they turn thirteen and fourteen it would have been more appropiate. but other than that i like the gist of the story. very interesting the way u wormed ginny into all of those scenarios. and a few chapters back, the one where harry tells vernon that sirius was teaching him how to kill people without magic all day - i almost died i was laughing so hard! i bet vernon's face was priceless! one question tho, is harry in the triwizard tournament if they found out moody was the imposter already>>

As far as their dating goes, many people feel the way you do. My own view as someone who watched kids their ages making out (snogging) in the hallways of my Jr. High in 1989, it seemed natural to me. Most parents don't want their kids dating at that age, but they do anyway, even if it's behind their parents' backs.
I was cracking up laughing myself when I wrote that scene with Harry claiming Sirius was training him to murder.
