i think ron is a bit oc in this chapter... i mean he is a gryffindor and he had the nerve to face down god knows what in the books. but i guess on the other hand he wouldn't know ecxactly what to ecxpect from muggle rides.... o_0

I loved your idea of having them visit the muggle amusement park to celebrate Harry's birthday. This was such a FUN chapter! All of the teasing that the twins, Ginny, and Harry inflicted on Ron was hilarious. I could completely picture everything you wrote in my mind's eye, especially Ron's nervousness. I could also see this as the perfect venue, with the kids' carefree, joking natures and Mr. Weasley's fondness for muggles. I loved it when Harry put the part about Hermione sitting beside Ron on the roller coaster into the bet. That was so perfect, considering how Ron and Hermione secretly feel about each other.

Other highlights of this chapter for me were when Ron grabbed Hermione's hand and held it throughout that ride and Ginny standing up to Uncle Vernon when she came to get Harry.

I've enjoyed all of the chapters before this one, as well, but I didn't want to stop to review each one. I just wanted to keep reading them, one after another. However, this chapter was so hilarious that I had to stop and write one. I've loved Harry and Ginny's relationship, as well as how you write them individually. I also liked how good they are for each other. I was impressed with how Ginny used logic with Harry after Hermione told Prof. McGonagall about him receiving a Firebolt for Christmas. That was perfectly done. I also loved it when Harry used the same technique with Hermione to get her to come around concerning her ongoing fight with Ron about Cruikshanks possibly having eaten Scabbers. Since Hermione is such a natural with logic, anyway, it was perfect for him to talk to her in that way. I was also impressed with how calmly and rationally Harry was able to put aside any hurt and resentment against Ginny when she thought he'd initiated the kiss with Cho. His being able to see that he would have felt as angry and hurt as she had, were the shoe on the other foot, was very mature (and goes against human nature, really, but bravo, Harry, nonetheless. Especially after she hexed him, which would have angered most innocent parties in that situation.) When she cried out at seeing that kiss occur, I was going to guess that she'd seen it by way of their "bond," (since I figured this might end up going towards that genre of fan fic) rather than physically being there in the hallway and seeing it with her eyes. However, so far nothing concrete has really pointed towards their being able to see, hear, feel, smell, or taste what the other person sees, hears, feels, smells, or tastes. I guess I might have been jumping to conclusions that they would have this ability, but who knows, at this point.

I was glad you put the note at the end of the first chapter addressing any readers' concerns about Harry and Ginny snogging so passionately at their age. I had been surprised by their ardor myself, so I was glad to read your note about it. However, my overriding feeling is that It's very sweet how much they love each other, and it makes me gleeful to read them as being so happy together and so in love. I'm sure everything will make sense later in the story. I was surprised Mr. and Mrs. Weasley (especially the latter) were so okay with it when Ginny and Harry have kissed in front of them, but it's a nice change to read a bond story where Molly isn't actively opposed to Harry and Ginny's connection.

I was also impressed by how creatively romantic Harry was for Ginny on Valentine's Day. That seemed to be very mature and thoughtful for a boy not yet fourteen, but again their bond probably did mature him quite a bit. Harry being so wonderful in his eagerness to give Ginny a wonderful Valentine's Day further spotlights Ron's general immaturity and thoughtlessness (which is probably a bit closer to the average boy their age). When Harry forgot Ginny's birthday earlier in the story, THAT seemed more true to what I'd expect from a 13-year-old boy in his first dating relationship. However, luckily, Harry realized how disappointing that had been for her, and his Christmas and Valentine's Day gifts were sincere attempts to make it up to her. I also liked it when you had Hermione explain things to Harry that he hadn't figured out on his own (e.g., his expensive gifts would make Ginny feel bad about being poor, and simple, heartfelt, romantic gifts would mean even more to her). I also liked that Hermione didn't just tell him what to do, that he needed to come up with the gifts on his own, in order for them to mean so much. Great job.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling now and read more of your wonderful story. Excellent job! :)

Heh -- that was rather fun (but then, I'm not Ron -- nor an I Hermione: will she be able to write after that??!?). :-) I rather liked the way Ginny controlled Vernon.

Author's Response: Thanks. I'm sure that after a quick stop at St. Mungo's, her hand will be fine (Just make sure Lockhart doesn't try to heal her) :-). I think Ginny is just the witch to stand up to Vernon.
