Note: - This Challenge is based on an original idea by Jaquelyne and is intended to get Jim, Mel, and Mary back into writing. “Come on guys, we haven’t heard from you lot lately.” Jaq knew what the Challenge was but died within hours of this posting, never having ‘seen’ it on SIYE. This Challenge is dedicated to her and her love of FLUFF.
At thick as Harry can be, he finally realizes he’s madly in love with Ginny and wants to spend the rest of their lives together. Therefore, over the Christmas holidays in his seventh year, he plans to propose to Ginny. He expects he will be staying with the Weasleys at the Burrow.
The Weasley Twins like Harry and Ginny and try to ensure they have a lot of quality time to share over the Winter break. Their plans actually interfere with what Harry has in mind. Harry tries to dodge the twins’ plans and still make his proposal special.
Scrooge by SilverPhoenix [Reviews - 20]
Harry can’t live life without Ginny, but when winter gets hectic and he can’t seem to find the right ring he begins to lose his nerve altogether. But, like always, the Weasley twins have other things in mind. A small prank gets blown way out of proportion. Have the Weasley twins gone too far this time, or was this ‘little prank’ just exactly the big push that Harry needed to be able to ask Ginny to say “I do”? Scrooge has a new meaning this year—selflessness to a flaw.

No Reindeer Were Injured During The Writing Of This Story by Spenser Hemmingway [Reviews - 27]
** Winner of Best Humor in the December Engagement Challenge ** Are Christmas holidays always supposed to be stressful? They can be if you are Harry Potter, and you are trying to propose to your ladylove. He also gets to do so with the help of…or despite the help of friends, family, elves, crazed entertainers, dangerous decorations and faulty coffeepots. The good news is that there is plenty of pie. A one-shot written for the 2006 December Engagement Challenge.

Kissing Under the Latkes by casually_a_weasley [Reviews - 20]
*** The author has been reminded via the e-mail address on file that this story is listed as incomplete and has not been updated since 2006 ***
You have to kiss a few frogs to find your fairytale, and the challenges are no different for Ginny and Harry. Christmas is coming, and along with it, the romance that surrounds the holiday. But nothing ever goes to plan. Nosy brothers, a bundle of nerves and an interesting holiday party get in the way of what Harry Potter wants most; Ginny. So what happens when the couple finds themselves in a compromising situation, surrounded by friends and family, and a floating plate of latkes over their heads? Fluff, humour, and a comma-loving author abound.
