What a great chapter! Funny, important, and full of great little details, like Annie picking up swear words from her mum.
I'm looking forward to the further development of Jacqui's and Ginny's friendship--it's not too much of a stretch to see Jacqui and her husband finding out about magic.

Nice opening description -- and I rather like "confusion" as an aggregate plural of "child." (I also like "conspiracy" in that role for cats; sadly, it doesn't seem to be catching on.)
One (or more!) may only hope that Mary gets her Just Desserts at some point. :-}

Author's Response: Thanks for the review. I'm rather fond of collective nouns, and of making them up, too. Though in Hunters and Prey Tidings is the correct term for a collection of Magpies (applying it to a group of Quidditch fans in montrose might be stretching it. for cats, I've seen "a glaring" used, but a conspiracy is nice, too. -N-

Its a lot of fun to read this and watch ginny edite what she says. I also enjoy how true to lofe the characters are-the 2 yhear old who repeats the wrong word, the husband who listens to the neighbor even though he should know better. Thanks.

It may prove difficult to continue this story if Ginny had a catastrophic falling out with Jacqui. I am working on the next chapter, Hopefully there will be at least one more before christmas. Unless I decide to enter the challenge.-N-

Goodness, I had to read back to remember but I'm back into it.
Great chapter and I love reading this from her pov. Makes it different to see it from her inquisitive mind and Scary Mary......donkt we all know someone like that? The town ruler. :D Makes it all the more recognizable.
But now......she will visit Drakeshaugh quite unexpectedly ad what will she see there. Probably nothing but she will notice that it is all slightly different.
I know you have many stories stirring in the cauldron but I hope ypou won't makes us wait too long? *hintnudge*

I have too many unfinished stories and I am trying not to start anything els until I finish at least one of them. Scary Mary, the uncrowned queen of the schoolgate mums is familiar to me, I hope that she's a familiar type to non-Brits, too. I hope to get one more chapter submitted before the end of the year. -N-

Yeah!! I was so happy to see an update - I love this story. It is very engrossing, seeing the Potters from a Muggle's point of view. Jacqui should be in for a shock at the Potter home, can't wait to see what happens.
