When young Harry ceded his conscience to older Harry to help friends he has never met is one of the most poignant and well done scenes in fan fiction. It's so perfectly Harry Potter at that point in his life. It makes me sit back and reflect on what kind of life the kid has had where he would sacrifice himself for people he hasn't even met.

Your alternate scene where Harry and Ginny meet has always stuck in my head as being particularly well done. You handle it delicately and drop some early fluff for the shippers. I like that you start off the trend of Harry considering the consequences his actions will have on the timeline immediately.

One of the all-time best starts to a story. Well done.

Wow, I must say, I usually keep away from Action/Adventure stories because they're not really my cup of tea, but I must say you've done a fantastic job with this story (and I'm only on chapter one too). It's so well thought out and well-written. ^_^ Especially how he comes up with this whole plan. I can picture this matured Harry moving about in this tiny 11-year-old Harry. I love your writing overall. I felt his terrible fear when he thought of meeting the Weasleys and I felt his pure hatred when he saw Scrabbers. One of my favorite scenes was the one where the younger Harry meets the older Harry and lets the latter enter him. Anyway, good job! No wonder why so many people love this story! =]

Oh, this really is fun. Seeing Harry nudge certain things here and there is interesting. So far, he's doing well. He was certainly smooth with the Goblins, and buying Grunnings is pretty ingenious. Yes, he really is going to have to let so many things play out. Of course, my strategy would be to tell Dumbledore (at least after the Chamber) and remove all the Horcruxes before Voldemort is resurrected. He does have to be careful because preventing many distasteful things could cause other things that need t happen not to, etc. Quite the quandary. His reaction to hearing Molly's voice and, in particular, seeing Ginny and holding her hand were heartwarming. Really well done.

Author's Response: Thank you, i tried to put myself in his shoes as I wrote that scene and realized that if I was seeing the love of my life again, after mourning her for 14 years, I would freak out on the spot. Fortunately, merged-Harry is a little cooler than I am...

This is great, it's going in my favourites. I like the handshake thing with Fred and George, but I find the finishing each others sentences bit a bit hard too read. The thing that I would really like to fix is the Yule Ball. I think that everything would just turn out a lot better if Harry asked Ginny straight off (And Ron ask Hermione, of course). Think of all the arguments that would never happen! I was wondering, is this story going to span all seven years, or will you give each year a separate story? Keep up the fantastic work! (And please update quickly, I can't wait)

Author's Response: Harry has a long list of things he'd like to get right this time. Yule Ball is one of many. I'm Probably going to just do this as one big story - easier not to lose readers that way, I think.

Possibly the strangest - and in some ways cleverest - premise for a fic I've read in a long time. Well written, too, despite the American spelling and the Yanks ("Overpaid, over-sexed and over here!") in the first chapter. ;-) Definitely a nine so far.

Author's Response: Please email me regarding Americanisms and other britpicking. Do you really think that the US would watch the UK slide into anarchy and chaos without trying to help at all? If nothing else, Gen. Hastings was tasked with making sure Voldemort doesn't decide to start looking across the pond and begin recruiting in the US.

wow! i a huge fan of AU and this is one of the best! harry is going to really struggle to avoid changing the future to much... love his interaction with his friends!

Author's Response: Thanks for the kind words. Harry really has multiple foes this time. At times, Voldemort is the least of his worries.

This surelly is a very very interesting story. I would say the most interesting/original idea i've seen around here. I do find it somehow strange that harry decided to go so far back in time, since that actually makes it look impossible that things will turn how they should. Oh well, i'm really curious to see how you'll try to patch things up. Keep up the good work

Author's Response: Well, part of the reason he wants to go so far back is that he wants to avoid a LOT of the deaths and disasters that happened in his timeline... including perhaps Ginny's encounter with the diary,.. also later chapters will have him setting some things into motion. Dumbledore admits in canon that he kept things from harry as long as possible, so he could have a childhood. This Harry wants to be ready for whats coming... Thanks for your kind words, more is on the way!
