Outstanding story, the one by whick any other time-travel-redo must be measured by. Great stuff so far.
I esp enjoy the way you have people react to non-canon events, I think you really do well with that.
Easily one of my favorite stories I've read, keep at it and thanks for sharing it.

I find myself both loving and hating this story.
I love it, it's one of only two stories that have been able to keep my attention (though I wonder how that's going to change Dumbledore being killed by Malfoy in HBP, or even Umbridge in OOTP...
I hate it because I get confused between canon and your world. (That was a compliment.)
Unfortunately, 10 is the max I can give...

Nice chapter. I decided to review here rather than FFnet, although if I think of anything else to review about, I will go and drop a review there too.
I see that Augusta Longbottom is really proving she's okay now, so that was good. Nice way to bring that in and have it done so seamlessly too. Very good use of the story to make it a more 'joined up' story. Far too many stories I've read and enjoyed have actually been disjointed too. "Refiner's Fire" by Abraxan comes to mind where a sub-plot was started, and then dropped soon after.
Slughorn's part in the chapter was pretty good. This is the first time I've ever heard of the basilisk being sold in a fic, and to have Slughorn there is just so fitting for his character. The way his eyes lit up in greed when he heard about the Acromantula 'Aragog' makes this fitting. Nicely done.
This was a chapter that I did enjoy, so thanks for doing such a great job on something you're not exactly being paid for. I was a little lost for quite a while as it has been long since your last update. This was actually the first serious Harry Potter fanfic I read, and back then it was already up to chapter 35, so it was a fair wait. I didn't mind though, as FFnet provided me with plenty of great Harry/Ginny goodness. Not to mention Team 8.
Okay, just something you might want to check up on. Perhaps it's just the formatting on this computer I use or on the browser, but when Hermione begs Mr Granger (“Daddy!&rdqu o; Hermione fairly shrieked) something goes wrong. It's only in that one sentence, but I couldn't read it. Was there any strange formatting on that sentence?
Anyhoo, thanks for the chapter, and I can't wait for more. Really, I can't. I might go read the new chapter of Team 8 soon. Thanks and NJOY!!

Awesome chappie! It was definitely worth the wait, and I'm glad you took your time. On the other hand, I had forgotten pretty much everything that had happened, so I went back and re-read the whole thing a third time. I picked up on a lot more this time, so I'm glad for that.
Is getting rid of the basilisk going to affect the Horcrux demolition at all?

A weaker chapter than some of the earlier ones, I thought; can't quite put my finger on why, though. There was some character inconsistency in language use - inconsistent contractions, things like that. There were a few more bits along the same lines, but I can't remember offhand what they were.
Still, the plot continues; the only real criticism I can think of is that with the long waits between chapters, they could be longer and faster paced. But then again, I know how hard it is to get stuff written, particularly when Real Life gets in the way.

Excellent as always. I enjoyed the adults argument. It seemed very real. I understood Hermione's parents' point of view and I appreciated Harry's arguments against removing her from Hogwarts. Ginny is obviously hurting and feeling insecure about Harry's respect for her as a person. I can see why Harry is struggling to deal with his relationship with her though. How strange to have loved her as an adult and then know her as a child again.

It took me a long time to get around to this story. Wow...what a creation! This immediately jumped into the top echelon of HP stories for me.
There are 3-4 authors who are creating compelling H/G epics...and I am grateful to discover you now...and your sensibilities and skills.

Nice straight forward chapter. It made the H/G dynamic clearer and I liked the Granger element.
As for H/G it seems as if Harry can't help himself when it comes to her.

Thank you for updating this great story. When I read Mr Granger declare Hermione was going to be enrolled into a new school my first thought was how would Harry search for the Horcruxes without her assistance. Whew, then Harry made his arguement for the Grangers safety. Each chapter is well thought out. I like this Harry and can't wait until Prof McG finally finds out about Harry. Patiently awaiting the next chapter.

I'm so glad you updated! I was getting worried there for a second. Great chapter, btw. The argument between the adults had me on the edge of my seat. What I really liked, though, was that Harry talked to Ginny more; I really missed that. Well, loved the chapter and I can't wait for the next one!
