I often felt rather sorry for Hermione's parents and suspected that she was not exactly keeping them completely informed about her life at Hogwarts as a witch. Their only child is in danger from sources they cannot understand and cannot protect her from. I am glad that Harry tried to be honest with them and explain what has been happening.

Harry really needs to realize that Malfoy is a evil bastard who needs to die instead of some school boy bully with a grudge and jealousy complex that needs to be saved from himself. Then there is Malfoy Senior who has been in and out of Azkaban so many times he can call it a vacation home. Why is it that Sirius escapes and is sentenced to death upon being caught but Lucius can come and go as he pleases? I would think the Ministry who isn't doing anything during the war except receive the captured Death Eaters would want to show that they are doing something besides letting the escaped Death Eaters free, so why not send them through the Veil every time they are captured and make a big show out of it to make it look like they are competent.

Author's Response: I won't disagree with you about any of that, but Harry is noble and honorable and simply can't "let" someone die if there's any way to save them. It just isn't in his nature. The Sirus/Lucius thing you mentioned happened because the Ministry is corrupt and the Minister is in Lucius's pocket. The Ministry isn't interested in showing they're doing something as much as they're interested in denying Voldie's back and covering their arses. That's just the way Fudge is.
(It's been years since I wrote this story - if something I wrote here in this reply doesn't make sense, it's because I've written quite a lot since then and this story is fuzzy in my memory. Sorry about that!)

Aww come on! It was so sweet for a secod with the Grangers then we see Ron saying Hermy didn't know who he was. That was nice! Haha. This was a good chapter as usual. The battle scene was really good as well.

Oh no! Poor Ron! I knew whatever Draco did would have some pretty nast repercussions, but that's jut cruel. Can you imagine being the Grangers and hearing all the stuff your daughter has been involeved with? Frightening doesn't begin to cover it. Great job as always.

Wow...=O that surprised me at the end.. aaahh the tension is killing me X-(! Also, fabulous story once again with the fight with the professor and the talk with the Grangers too. Nice that harry kept trying to save the professor, while trying to weaken her..that is so like him :)! I hope hermione and ron end up ok =/, that is so sad for ron now that i think about it..
