Sudden and frightening I know this is an important part of the story and that the attacks should come unexpectedly. It did.
However, is it necessary to include inpalement of a child? Believe me, what happened to the older girl and the adults was frightening enough. Please consider that I and some of your other readers may have stayed up late to read another chapter. I dread dreaming.
Author's Response: I'm sorry about that, but I tried to make this story as realistic as possible - and if you've ever read any accounts of atrocities by real life monsters (dictators, terrorists, you name it), what I wrote here is mild. And this story was written and completed several years ago I can't (and wouldn't anyway) change anything about what's already been published.
I hope your dreams weren't disturbed.

liked the date in hogsmeade especially how harry and his fellow raven birds pelted malfoy and his gang with all of those lovely droppings. they derve it and everything else that can be dished out to them.
date was very nice as was the way for harry to get ginny back to flying/ riding again. the nightmare was well done and it feels that you are actually there. moving onto the next chapter to read.

Wow. That was a good chapter but a little too much detail with the dream for my taste. It was wellwritten as usual (I must find out how to spell that. I keep changing the spelling...). Anyway, I really enjoyed reading most of this chapter.

Author's Response: I'm trying to write as realistically as possible, and serious injuries just aren't "pretty" - so it had to be gruesome.

I still laugh when Harry asked Madam Pomfrey for the password, he's not taking any chances. I thought is was funny when he realized she knew about the scar and how horrified he was that she knew. As for Malfoy he'll never learn will he, wuss waiting for Harry to leave before attacking pitful.

Excellent piece of writing! I have been reading this since 1:30pm eastern time and it is now 6:00pm. I would love to continue but I have play practice to attend, plus my younger brother has homework to do. Anyway, I love the plot. I cried when Casey and her family were killed, something I never do when I read stories/books. I feel as though I could be reading the real book. I will probably be confusing HBP and this considering I am rereading HBP presently. I would love to write more...but I have to go...I am already late! Great job and I don't know if I can wait till tomorrow to read more! Urgh....lol. -Katie

Author's Response: She didn't wake up (as I recall) until Harry had destroyed Riddle -- she didn't see him die. And he was just a memory anyway. So no, she can't see Thestrals. I don't know how fast the chapters are being put up -- a friend is doing it for me to save my carpal-tunnel plagued hands the trouble, bless him! I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

Okay, you made be burst out laughing several times in the last three chapters. I loved the idea that he couldn't change back from the Phoenix. And his flailing along on Ron's shoulder as he ran was a great image. I look forward to the next installments. This is just too fun.
