I read your story years ago and enjoyed it. Going back to reread it now and I wanted to put a special shout-out to your creation of Casey and the Asher family. You made them feel very real and their loss is emotional to me. Not many authors put the time and effort into creating someone who they remove from the story so early on. I honestly feel as if you did a more complete characterization of Casey in the first 7 chapters of your story than most of the characters in JKR's entire series.

They were who Harry needed in his life at that moment, and they had to be full, rich characters and important to him, or their loss wouldn't have had the impact on him that it did. I see that this book was written a few years ago, I'm not sure if you still read reviews on it or not. I am almost finished with the story and I have to say it was a very enjoyable read.
It got pretty far off cannon but It was still very good deathly hollows was a little bit of a letdown for me.

I am choosing to leave my review on this chapter because it was the chapter that Casey died in. You did a very nice job with her character. I was able to grow fond of her in just a few short chapters. I knew that she was going to die the moment the dementors came in a previous chapter, but it was still an upsetting shock when it happened.
I noticed that you mentioned you had a book that you had written on your own. I would be interested in hearing a little more about that book.

Also, If you are interested in reading them I can start leaving reviews of each chapter I read from now on.

Author's Response: Yes, I read and reply to reviews, even all these years later! Sorry for my delay in replying, but I've been on vacation. RF wasn't far off canon if you remember that it was written when OOtP came out - a lot of what I wrote turned out to be the same things JKR wrote when she wrote HBP and DH. HBP was a letdown for me - that's the first book I ever threw across a room when I finished it (because it was obviously an unfinished book). DH was a disappointment in many ways, but it did have some cool stuff in it too. The camping trip went on WAY too long and too pointlessly. It was as if she said, "It has to last until the end of the school year but I don't have enough stuff for them to do to make it last that long. I know! I'll keep them lost in the woods in an endless camping loop to use up the time!" Argh. I'm glad you liked Casey. I received such strong responses to her that I've used her character in my original novel, "Star Sons - Dawn of the Two," where she first appears 2/3 of the way through the story. She will be involved in the rest of the trilogy as well (I think it's a trilogy - could go longer, I just don't know yet, I'm still working on book 2). I really enjoyed ur stories till now.. sorry for not reviewing for earlier chapters...kinda forgot... but anyways i liked ur whole story till now... the one harry working and falling in love with casay.... to tell the truth i was crying all over when i read that she died.... i really awsome story hats off too u.

Author's Response: Yup, I get that response a lot too. And people love Casey so much that I'm using her in my original novels, so she lives on (her personality and first name, anyway - I changed some of the other stuff, but it's still the same Casey). Abraxan
