Oh, another heart touching chapter, especially the second half. That's the kind of story I like, Ginny and Harry talking, teasing, learning to understand and trust each other and facing the things out there as a team. It only hurts a bit that you keep their alone time for talking as short as possible.
Author's Response: LOL well, H/G are such a perfect couple that the only way to have tension in their relationship is to keep them apart now and again. When they're together they get along swimmingly. Great in real life - not so great for an interesting story. :)

Intriguing information about Walpurgis. I really like Nott in your story.
Lovely bit o'fluff at the end, and really funny about "one foot on the floor". I guess the rule doesn't work on taller girls like me, though. I can think of some ways to get into trouble with a foot still on the floor!
Author's Response: I'm sure H/G will figure all that out after they have a little more experience. :) But my PG -13 rating will just allow us all to use our very fertile imaginations!:) Which is probably more interesting anyway.

Okay...totally awesome!! I can't wait until you update. And as for the mildly sexual scene towards the end, it wasn't too much at all. In fact, you probably could have gone even farther (no pun intended) and still been fine with a PG-13 rating. Excellent work!

Another good chapter. Thinking back to the fluff thread you started at the 'Quill, I'll give this story a three on redlightspecial's four-point fluff scale. Fluff is obviously present (so it's not a 4) but it doesn't dominate the story as it would in a 1 or 2 story.
Symbolism: I remember reading parts of that thread about the four cross-quarter holidays of the year:
1) Samhain/Halloween: November 1 (night of October 31)
2) Imbolc/Groundhog Day: February 2 (night of February 1)
3) Beltane/Walpurgis Day: May 1 (night of April 30)
4) Lugnasadh/Lammos : August 1 (night of July 31)
Of these dates 1) is obviously important in canon (James/Lily's death, troll fight, opening of the Chamber, and others). And of course 4) Lugnasadh is also Harry's birthday. I recall that you would find a way to work 3) into your fic, and you did a good job!
Wow! I didn't think that St M. would be able to post three chapters here and still not be able to add a chapter at the Sugar Quill, but I guess that's what's this site's for!
Author's Response: I actually tried to work H/G's Valentine's date to be Feb 1st but the Valentine's day really did fall on a Friday in 1997 - and I wanted it to coincide with the last DD episode. (soaps always have their exciting conclusions on Fridays )
JK R does pay attention ot the calendar - Buckbeck's execution was schedule on the feast of John the Baptist (who was beheaded) It will be interesting if she uses Walpurgis in either one of her next two books.

I like this chapter a lot. The part with Ginny at the end is excellent. All that strength of feeling, exploration, and resulting tension and uncertainty comes across very clearly. Bill's remarks about mystery women are good also. They tell you they love you, then they scold you for last week's dip into self-pity . . . can't live with or without 'em. But we're going to die trying, indeed. Good stuff with Nott, as well, working further along for the climax. I knew Ginny would give up on the soap eventually, I just knew it. Hah!
Men and fluff--I'm listening to 80's Metallica as I write this. (Bow to Leper Messiah!) Yeah! See--ruggedly fluffy. Right.
I'll shut up now.

I've been bad about reviewing lately, but it's not because I haven't been keeping up with and enjoying the chapters; it's because I can't seem to think of anything more original or constructive to say than, "U R a good riter!" Heh.
'Days of Destiny: The Next Generation' had me giggling. And for whatever it's worth, I thought the scene at the end worked very well.
You just don't know how to disappoint, do you?

Once again you've managed to get the right balance , not too sweet which is good because I have tooth ache right now.
Going back to comments made on the last chapter about blokes and fluff , well here's on ebloke that likes his fluff. My kids thing I'm sad but my wife thinks it's good for me.
I love to see Harry open up because he reminds me so much of me at that age, wanting to say so much and yet finding it so hard.
