I am curious about what problems Ginny is dealing with. Its a pity that they need to have detention to get some more alone time together to figure out their personal sensitivities. After reading the wallpaper stories I had the impression that the two of them were a bit closer already. Seems there are some deeper fears to be clarified.
Altogether it is a wonderful story so far.

Author's Response: You know, it's been so long since I wrote this story (over ten years) that I really don't remember what the issue was. I do remember that I wanted to show H/G in a relationship that included the occasional misunderstanding and argument. It's a lesson I felt Harry had to learn (loving people who aren't perfect/ being loved even if not perfect) to further his understanding of his "task" in defeating Voldemort. Hopefully that will be evident as you read along. This was my novel-length story so it's clunky in parts. Thanks for reading!

Wonderful! I love the idea of the stain remover. Too
bad I don't have a house elf to fill the bottle.

Author's Response: LOL - too bad none of us have house elves. Thanks for reading!

Tee hee hee hee hee!! how have I missed this story?! I've read all your others! I love it. I love all the characterizations. I even like being a little frustrated with Hermione, but totally understanding her stress! And ginny!....Please open up to harry!

thanks for all your great stories!

Author's Response: This is a very old story - my first multi-chapter story - so I'm glad it's still fun to read. A lot of people didn't like my Hermione in this - but later on in the story you'll see what good friends she and Harry really are. Thanks for reading!

I think it's wonderful how you were able to create a Ginny that's not the regular 'Oh-Harry-I-Need-You' sort of character. Her character is so well-rounded!

I just love this chapter esp. the Harry/Ginny spitball scene. The visual I got from where Ginny drew her wand and Harry was just as quick makes me really smile. Good work!!!

The end was a bit gross, but very funny. I like how you are developing all the characters. They seem different from how they were in book five, but it's a natural-seeming difference.

I just happened ot stop over at SIYE today, and thought I'd see what you had here--and lucky I did! This is a great chapter as usual. It occurs to me that only a mother would write a detention in the laundry--I couldn't even begin to think about something like that enough to write it (I find it irksome enough just do to mine once a week!). But you certainly did it justice with the level of detail. I was wincing in sympathetic pain the entire time. Ginny's scar has me intrigued, for I recently re-read your story on the Quibbler article, and in the dream Ginny's hand was cut by the Snitch. And now we find it's happened in real life . . . As to the part about stopping the pain in Harry's scar: well, frankly I'm fairly suspicious of where that might be heading. I'm highly skeptical in nature, as you know, and I've read more than my share of badfics where Ginny is able to do that. I hesitate to apply the word cliche to your work, as it has a rather harsh connotations that I in no way wish to convey, but I'm just warning you that I'm biased against this particular concept. But if you feel you can do it well, than by all means do so. I'm interested to see what you plan on doing with it. Absolutely enjoyed Ginny's and Harry's silent argument. It's good that Harry got to see how not talking could affect people, when he was the one being affected, this time. Some would say it serves him right, but I understand all too well his tendency to withdraw, and do not blame him for it. I like that you show that Ginny is not mature either--she can't and doesn't have all the answers for him, and he doesn't have them all for her, either. But finding those answers together is where the real interest of their relationship lies. It isn't just in the snogging . . . although that's certainly fun too! I really liked how you resolved their descent into immaturity. Also excellent was how Harry started to talk with Hermione, and to see more how valuable her friendship is to him (something I'm coming to see more, too!). So, overall, this is an excellent chapter, and I'm eager to read the next one. Keep up the great work! Oh, and "House-Elf Piss"? Man, I thought I had a twisted sense of humour . . . this is great. Just . . . wow.

Nice laundry technique, Dobby! I, too, adored the scene where Harry put his head in Ginny's lap. You make their interactions quite believable. I wonder what the dream meant?

Somebody Quick! Let Martha Stewart and the Maytag Man know about Elf Piss. I know I have never seen that as a cleaning aid on Martha's show or magazine (yes I do subscribe, so shut up). A very clean chapter, just lovely. Cheers.

really good chapter. I liked when Harry put his head on Ginny's lap. Talk about cuteness! I have to confess I was a bit confused about the whole HEP until I was like duhh! of course!
