I was going to wait until I caught up to you to comment but I had to tell you that I absolutely love this chapter. You made me smile - especially with Ginny's treatment of Romilda. JKR left "the walk down by the lake" to our imaginations and you gave us a wonderful rendition of what it might have been like, along with all those "sunlit days".
I know you are retelling cannon and I was critized for doing the same, but you are telling it from Ginny's POV which gives it a whole new take, and since I will never tire of reading Harry (& Ginny's) story, I am truly enjoying it. I know things are about to change for them but I'm looking forward to seeing how you handle what comes next.
You have a few type-o's but I read your bio and noticed your age. This is amazing writing for someone so young. KUTGW!!
