It was a good thing that Remus went for the books, imagine if Hermione had, she'd of had the baby then and there lol!!
“Ooo, you’re lucky baby Ingalls,” she poked her belly, growling down as a small foot lodged in the area where her kidney should be. “You just try that when you’re out and we’ll see how I react.” - I had to laugh when I read this, seeing how I heard similar phrases eminate from my daughters mother mouth many a time.
Author's Response: lol Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.

Thank goodness!!! Waiting for them to be found was killing me! Who would have thought that Umbridge would have done them a favor???
Author's Response: A bit more than ironic that the scar Harry wasn\'t famous for was what identified him, wasn\'t it? :D Glad you enjoyed the chapter.

I do wonder what you have planned for Pansy, Malfoy and Nott. It was an interesting scene, sure, but I don't know yet how it ties in everywhere else. I am still not sure what Draco was doing for the Order. I'm assuming that he was spying on Tom, and sending the info to Harry, but I'm not positive yet, nor am I certain what Draco is gaining by holding his tongue. It's getting very interesting as time goes on.
I absolutely loved the meeting between Harry and Lupin. I can only begin to imagine the amount of shock that it'd give for him to see someone who's supposed to have been dead for four years. I'm surprised he didn't turn into a babbling idiot and go and call him by his real name. I can't wait to see the meeting between Harry and Tonks, as well as the realization that Harry is married to his chilhood sweetheart. It's gonna be grand! I see the Order is still active, even if in a highly minor role, but I'd love to see more of them. I take it that in future chapters, they're more active, especially in regards to Malfoy and his activities. BTW, Did Malfoy steal Harry's cloak?
The birth scene with Hermione and Ron was beautiful, and I really loved reading it. I'm going to need to head to the shops for more Kleenex, but I should be okay for a couple of hours. Thanks for the beautiful chapter, and I'm really looking forward to reading the next.
Author's Response: The tie in will come, I promise. Pretty soon you\'ll be saying...\'oh, that\'s where that memory plays in\'. Remus was the right person for the meeting because of his level head. Malfoy has Harry\'s cloak--that will come into play in the future. Glad you enjoyed the chapter.

Grrr, my first review got lost. I finally got to read this and I'm so glad I can move right on to the next chapter. This was fabulous, Andi. The Draco part (which until now has not interested me as much as the Jack/Emma story) was so well done. You did a fantastic job of portraying him as either a tragic hero or a sympathetic villain, and we don't know which one he is yet. Just perfect. I'm guessing the bodies in the circle are Pansy and Ted. Hmmm? Loved the way Emma loves her pregnancy - totally reminded me of watching my own kids poke their various body parts through my skin. And the contact with Remus was great - totally realistic. I'm really excited to see how the Order proceeds here. Great job! -Mel
Author's Response: Oh man, I hate it when that happens. A few people were grumbling about Draco being in the story at all. I promise he has his own part. Thanks for the review. Hey...look at us today!!!! Andi, Mel and Ella all up there on the same board!!! Woo Hoo. MINXES RULE!!!! Where\'s Pooky when you need a snarky comment?!? *pouts*

Sorry I haven't reviewed in a while - been busy writing my piece for the latest challenge. This is such an interesting piece from a plot perspective. Kind of like kissmet revisited. I'm thoroughtly enyoying the character development of Jack and Emma as they struggle to a) just make life work (kind of like the rest of us - very indentifiable) and b) to regain their lost past. I'm really looking forward to seeing how that plays out. Great Job! - Mike
Author's Response: No problem, Mike. I\'m glad someone enjoyed the challenge. I just couldn\'t wrap my head around it enough to write something decent. Although I\'m not a personal fan of the challenges. *shrugs* I guess they\'re too structured for me. Anyway...I\'m glad you\'ve enjoyed the story. There\'s plenty more struggle left, don\'t worry. ;) Thanks for the review.

Context note noted. And yeah, it's not inconsistent with what we knew of the characters & situations at the time, so that works.
A decoy for Nagini, eh? Interesting bit of plot-layering, there. And Draco certainly seems to be one for layers of plotting.
So Moony meets "Jack" finally, eh? That was nicely done -- and I see that Jack's hard work has been rewarded with greater responsibility. I do rather look forward to reading about Tonks's visit/meeting. I wonder if she could manage to get Jack to show her a (Muggle) photo of Emma? :-) [Or if she would show up resembling a slightly-aged Ginny, to see Jack's reaction ... which might surprise all concerned. But that might be a bit cruel....]
I expect that the name(s) chosen for "baby Ingalls" may prove to be interesting, too.
Well-done interactions, as usual. And Remus was indeed quite sensitive to Arthur, there, in the final scene.
Well done.
Author's Response: Thanks. Tonks\' visit is up next in chapter nine.

Title: Chapter 8

YES! Remus was exactly the right person to find Harry – though poor Remus, having been through similar with James and Lily, and even before now with Harry... At last something positive from Umbridge – Harry’s famous scar may be gone (noticed that skin was gone when he got to the hospital – someone trying to disguise his body, or part of his fight...), but Umbridge’s legacy equally distinctive, when put with everything else. On logic alone Remus might still have discounted it.. but he won’t let his mind have the last say... ‘He only knew that his heart had been right.’ A reason Arthur was at the meeting too, perhaps? Glad that they’ve taken in the memory loss issue – very important to how they proceed..
Horrified that the Order just took Malfoy’s word for what happened, despite having means open to them to check further.. even allowing for the initial pain/horror at what they thought they were seeing.. then again, good that he had a bad track record, as now more inclined to doubt his version!! Obviously much more than we’ve even glimpsed going on – suspect we are “talking about deliberate conspiracy.” – but trust that Kingsley will pursue things once Remus’s sighting is confirmed.
Has Jack really taken Remus in quite as little as suggested – he mentions what happened to Emma – who, with baby, is his primary concern.. and Emma has plenty of time on her hands right now to ponder.. His concerns leading up to last Christmas sparked more past memories (hence Cho, as a Christmas memory) – maybe more will be triggered soon?
And then there’s Draco – with Harry’s Invisibility Cloak? – like another reviewer, I feel wary of simply taking his take on things, even if he’s convinced himself of the story as he tells it. He was disgusted with Harry for grabbing time with Ginny while he did just the same with Pansy... clearly a skewed perspective. Very much a double agent – Snape knew which side he was on, even if few others did, Draco doesn’t seem certain. Perhaps part of the reason he lost Pansy? -”I’m done waiting for him to play the hero, when he’s really only playing the fool.” And then his father kills Pansy and Theo.. know that that gives us two bodies, but are they the ones found in the clearing? Would Draco have had time to get them there before others got to the spot? His parents are dead too, and did have had reason to be there.. just wondering. Have a feeling that much of what happened to Harry and Ginny may have happened after Voldemort was defeated.. who is the ‘thick-jowled, blond man with an enormous moustache’ that Jack remembers? Someone wanting to exact revenge for Voldemort’s defeat? Or for the deaths of Pansy or Theo? With his happiness in ruins, would Draco be keen to see an apparently dead Harry and Ginny sent to different places to die from their injuries - some sort of payback in his mind? You’ve described Draco as ‘very much a scared young man’ – only because of his secrets, or because of someone who is still around and a force to be reckoned with??
Really looking forward to your next instalment!
PS. Great banners.
Author's Response: Thank you. Wow, loads of questions...that I can\'t answer outright. Let me see if I can answer a few of them. It is rather ironic that remnants of Umbridge\'s reign is, ultimately, what convinced Remus that his heart was correct. Arthur was at the meeting because, as head of the Weasley family, it would have been awful to not have him there. Imagine the sense of betrayal if the Order hadn\'t mentioned anything to him. Arthur has a wonderful scene coming up that I still *squee* over. We\'ll find out more about the time just after the Battle as well, and why the Order didn\'t investigate further. Jack was less observant than usual about the meeting with Remus. However, that doesn\'t mean it won\'t affect him, or come back to bother him shortly. As the small scene with he and Emma show, he\'s working 2 jobs to provide for his family, only getting a few hours at home everyday. I think it was more exhaustion and confusion than disbelief or discounting the whole experience. Yes, Draco has Harry\'s Invisibility Cloak. You\'d be best served to keep that view of Draco. And Pansy\'s comments about him playing the fool are correct again. We\'ll see that several times in upcoming scenes. Sadly, those are the only questions I can answer from your wonderful review. The answers WILL unfold, I promise. Thanks again. Aren\'t the banners wonderful?!

oOoh, your back, I love your stories! This one is wonderful. I love the mystery, you give just enough clues; your characters are believable tender, lovable; and your plot is intriguing.
Of course Draco is hard to like since he plays both sides of the fence, but he's the key to this mystery, either he knows what happened to Harry and Ginny or he caused it. But if the Weasley's et all could figure out a way to make it worth his while, maybe he will be their answer (once they figure out the question). And then hang the Twit.
Remus' protrayal while finding Harry alive was spectacular, his physical reaction to his emotional state was perfect. Had it been Ron...oh my! His reaction would have been more immediate, something like HereKittyKitty's story, Another world, another time. I'll be looking forward to to your rendition! A ministry conspiracy? Maybe more than Draco are involved??
Rain was a favorite for me! How Remus drew corelation between Rain's dress style and Tonks'; and how she wouldn't be fazed by a little wand action, lol! A nice touch of humor added during a tense buildup.
Love it so far, thanks for sharing
Coco
Author's Response: Thank you. Draco is hard to like on purpose. Although I do have to admit, when I wrote the part with him and Pansy together I had to remind myself not to feel sorry for the little...yeah. Remus was the first person that came to mind when I wanted to do the scene in the bookstore. I briefly thought about making it someone else, but Remus fit what I needed in the scene perfectly. I love Rain as well. And the fact that Remus was laughing until he realized what Tonks looked like sometimes and then sobered...I laughed out loud writing that bit. Thanks for reviewing.

Wonderful story as always!!!
This should be interesting to see how they re-introduce Jack and Emma to their family especially given Emma's present condition. Not only is Emma pregnant, but it's already a high risk pregnancy. How would she respond to either suddenly having all of these strangers accost her claiming to be her family and friends or suddenly recovering her memory? Especially since Molly can come on *ahem* a bit strong sometimes and you pretty much know she's going to have kittens when she finds out that not only is Ginny alive but she's having a baby (or just had a baby). That should definitely be bitter sweet. Molly and Arthur will be gaining so much, but then they missed so much as well, not getting to be a part of Ginny's wedding or her pregnancy.
Author's Response: Thank you. I can\'t say much about your comments. I don\'t want to give too much away.

I am LOVING this story! I don't know what took me so long to get around to reading it! Whenever I see your name on something I'm quick to read it. I loved Seeking the Silver and would check everday for an update. I finally started reading this one when the seventh chapter came out. It took me a while to catch up but when I did I was thirsty for more. It made me happy to see that the 8th one came up quick. I can't remember ever reading a story with both Harry and Ginny losing their memories but still finding each other. It's just too cute to see true love shining through. When Hermione asked Remus to go to the bookstore I got so excited thinking it was going to be the one Harry worked at. I can't wait to see what's going to be happening now that Remus thinks he found Harry. Keep up your fantiastic work!

In fact, the only thing keeping me from posting everything all at once is the fact that I haven\'t even started a new story yet. And I think it\'ll be a bit.
