I know I'm reading this YEARS later but I just had to comment that as someone who lives in Alice Springs it was a lovely surprise to have the gang all visiting Central Australia. I laughed out loud at the Todd River part. When friends from the East coast have come to visit me here some of them have been just as shocked that the big river running right through the centre of town is dry as can be! There's just something a bit special about these characters who always feel like they live in a completely different world to suddenly be launched into my world, even if only for a moment!

Well that was an intersting chapter! Although there is something about how Ginny reacted to Harry's 'accident' that seems to b underplayed or is that just you throwing out a red herring???

Now that's interesting. I wonder if Ginny's having flashback's to when she thought Harry was dead?
This chapter continues to amaze - the 'stray' discussion, Ron & Hermione finishing each other's sentences, I think those two are my favorite parts. Aside from the excellently-handled Jonathan and Bert, of course, who I definitely hope hope to see more of.

I Love this. I am intrigued by Ginny's reaction to Harry's mishap on the bus, or was it his comment afterward? You paint the characters and surrounding so vividly that I can feel like I'm there with them. This is a very special story & I'm glad to be able to read it. Thanks again for sharing your vision.

I've got to be quick, but I just thought I'd review briefly before I get back to my packing. ^_^ Just a few random thoughts about the chapter:
1. Jonathon and Bert are fabulous OCs - they're hilarious individually, sweet together, and really very well developed as characters despite their limited time in the story. They came very close to stealing the show, in this chapter, and I definitely wouldn't be sorry to see them again. I actually felt like cheering during the kiss scene.
2. Harry's relative lack of anger towards the newspaper article surprised me, somewhat. I'd have thought that he'd be the one getting worked up about it, even moreso than Ginny and Hermione, but he didn't seem all that upset until he saw how much it was bothering Ginny.
3. I wonder what's bothering Ginny? The girl-who-doesn't-cry was uncharacteristically weepy in this chapter. I know you've got a good explanation, though, so this isn't criticism - merely idle speculation.
4. A lot of memorable lines and exchanges in this chapter. I laughed out loud during Ginny and Ron's semi-argument regarding strays ("I think she’d get over it pretty quick if I did bring home a baby, thanks to your excellent judgment in strays"), and sniffled a little during Harry and Ginny's subsequent exchanges ("He wanted desperately to take away that pain and wondered if he willed it long enough or loved her hard enough if that would do it" - anyone who's watched a loved one go through a tough time knows how that feels).
5. Rita Skeeter needs to get stepped on. Now.
6. See what happens when I don't take the time to organise my thoughts properly?
I'll write more when I'm done moving - dunno when I'll have internet again, so it may be a few weeks, though. Keep up the great work!
Author's Response: Thank you that is a very nice compliment about my OCs . It's tought figuring out how much time to give an OC and how important you wnt them to be. Some people don't like OCs and that's fair enough (I am not a huge fan of them becoming major characters in a story tbh)but it's nice to have them appreciated all the same!
I think Harry's got a bit of a defeatist attitude towards the press really. That should change, no? ;)
Ginny might have a few unresolved iss-ewes...should she take them out on Rita...?????

Author's Response: I think every story has a bit you skim, Try not to skim the next chapter though ;) it's got rool important emotional developmental stuff. lol I admit, this one was a little about Bert and Jonathon but there's other stuff. :D Go back and read the stuff about Harry lol.

Bert and Jonathon are so sweet together! I really like Bert, she's a riot. Hope to see more of Bert and the hilarious Jonathon before the story ends. And George should definitely see if he can get double the women. :D I loved it when Hermione and Ron started speaking in "code". Lovely chapter, can't wait for more! Thanks for writing a happy story, it always makes me laugh!
