Just read first 2 chapters. They're a well written look at just how painful things could have become. Losing a family member is bad enough but having to face one of them as an Inferi is horrible to comtemplate. I'm glad Ginny was able to realise that it wasn't really Percy and that fire, by ancient tradition and myth, is used for cleansing and therefore appropriate to destroy such horror.

However, you do have a bit of a timing glitch. Since Percy was killed in Dec., persumably before Christmas, then Penelope just could not still be pregnant with Percy's child at Christmas a year later. For I don't think you meant to imply that the Inferi Percy fathered the child, and as I don't think the wizarding world uses invitro methods, that's about all it could be.

Author's Response: Ha. Actually, that happened just because of the non-linear story telling. The Inferius incident occured AFTER the Christmas and Percy died earlier that summer. This takes place where DH would have. So Charlie died at the wedding, Percy a few months later - then Christmas, then Hogwarts closed.

I know all stories don't have happy endings, but I hope you bring Harry and Ginny back alive...'cause I know she will follow. Harry still hasn't caught on that Tom isn't going to settle for just Harry has he?
I believe there is a song called "Love Is The Answer," and Harry has forgotten DD's words to him.
