Tickling someone and being tickled at the same time, by your very own hands no less, wouldn't that be fun?
I liked in this chapter Harry and Ginny began to interact more with Ron, Hermione and Neville.

i have enjoyed this story but there is one thing thats bothering me you claim harry is like just a few inches over 4 feet and ginny is even less so they would look like 6 or 7 year olds yet you dont show that in the story it seems to me that there of average height for there age group you would think they would have troubles reaching things and the bed would seem huge to them and that they would take longer to get to class i bring this up cause i have a classmate at school who is like 4 feet tall and i just had to ask but other wise i have enjoyed this story very much and i cant wait to finish this story and move on to the next and the next you know

Author's Response: Well, I can't speak for what any other individuals look like. What I did is use the clinical growth charts published by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Those charts map actual data and show height-by-age, with several percentiles graphed on a chart. Using that chart, you can pretty easily say that if a person's adult height is going to be X, then their height at a given age is going to be Y. That's what I did... I decided Harry and Ginny's adult heights, and I worked backwards to determine how tall they'd be in each book. In fact, I can provide their heights on any given day in the stories. So they are what they are.
For the record, a 6-year-old boy who was 48" (4 feet) tall would be in the highest 5% for his age group. If his growth followed average trends, he would be about 6'3" when fully grown. No real person grows perfectly along the trendlines, though, so that example probably wouldn't be observable in the actual population.
Thanks for reading.

It's kind of refreshing to see that some things will be more difficult for One and I like how you exhibit that through the example of Harry/Ginny writing unique essays. It seems as if they weren't able to do them at the same time - they had to think about one, then the other. It will be interesting to see what else they are able to do on their own/separate.

The tickling fight really made me laugh - and a very original outcome.

Reading through Ginny's description of what her Mom is afraid of, it almost seems like One doesn't get it yet. Molly isn't just worried about Harry sharing a bed with her only daughter, is she? Isn't Molly worried about the concept of One as well?
Other than that one instance where I think Ginny quite didn't get the whole picture, I like how you use Ginny to interpret (to Harry) how her family is feeling/reacting; it seems like she's more perceptive than I have been. At first, I thought Percy was a little one-dimensional...but Ginny's description of him being focused and jealous is right on. I kind of feel bad for him - as much as he tries to be important, it's almost as if he's the least important one in his large family.

Harry and Ginny have each other, so I think it could be easy for them to not try to make other friends. I like how Ginny encouraged Harry to talk to her brother. Its great to see Ginny and Hermione begin a friendship as well. Its also nice to see them go out of their way to include Neville. I hope Harry/Ginny are able to become closer friends with these classmates as the year progresses.

Is Ollivander really over 200 years old?
Ginny and Harry have the same magical signature - would a feather have to come from Fawkes (not any other Phoenix) to make Ginny's wand? I wonder if that will happen at the end of their second year.

Author's Response: I'm glad you like the exploration of what H/G can and cannot do together. To me, that's one of the core points of the series - even with something as fantastical as their bond, it's not a purely beneficial arrangement.
You're quite right that One doesn't yet understand all of the ramifications of their situation. Molly's PoV is very different from theirs. Though Molly is definitely worried about their sharing a bed, that's far from the only thing.
You know, I think that's the best summary of Percy's situation that I've yet seen. I'm glad it comes across.
Ollivander is a strange man, to be sure. I'm not sure we can really know what JKR intended with him. I have an answer, but it's something that will come later.
Thanks for reading and reviewing so thoughtfully.

Arg, Percy really annoys me. What's with calling Harry "Mr Potter"?It's frustrating, but very much like old pompous Percy. Well done

Author's Response: Yeah, Percy needs some sort of swift kick, doesn't he? Thanks for reading.

Dang...Percy is such a ponce! It's interesting to see how Harry's relationships with Ron & Hermione are going to be affected by his connection with Ginny. This is a very interesting story!

Author's Response: Thanks... stay tuned.

My apologies for the multiple reviews. My browser was misbehaving. I tried clicking the "delete" button, but you can see my success there.

Author's Response: I know it's not your fault, but it is pretty funny.

Regarding:

**Her mother was working up to a full rant. “Ginny, you must not think of things like that. It’s simply not proper!”

Next time something like this comes up, I would suggest that the best reaction is a long loud burst of laughter. If the speaker doesn't realize the absurdity of their comments immediately and apologize, the next step is for H/G to say something like: "Okay, Mum, whatever else you do, you MUST NOT think about what colour socks Dad is wearing"

When I reread this I just can't get over how absurd she is being, and wonder why someone, even Arthur, isn't laughing at her. It'd do her some good, I think.

Author's Response: In the long run, you're quite right. But at this point, they're still really very new to the whole arrangement, and they've been trying hard to respect each others' privacy. All four of the folks in this scene are keenly aware of the societal taboo against the children seeing what they did, and that consideration is dominating thier thinking. But, as I said, you're right in the long run. An even better comparison would be for Ginny to say, "No matter what you do, Mum, you'd better not know what color socks you're wearing."

The story and the plot behind it are very nice, but it is written in an episodic style which concentrates to much on just one thing per chapter. During the first week it seemed as they were only trying to figure out the sleeping arrangement, The plot should be more intermixed, try to add subplots to create more atmosphere.

Also the dialogues need to be more balanced at times. Monologues and narratives can dry up a story and make it seem boring. Though it is not to bad here.

You created some strange story elements like breakfast at 9 am Sundays (contradicts sleeping in) or study hall (timetable does not fit this nor is the great hall equipped for this or it fits with quidditch etc.). None of this can be found in the books and they feel alien in the setting of magic (which is somewhat chaotic), you are setting a precedence which may latter either hinder the story development or create inconsistencies.

Another point avoid it to start chapter with a name after the third time it sounds very strange.

Author's Response: Thanks for your comments. I tend to think that fanfic lends itself to serialization, but that's just my opinion of it all.
To clarify, only first and second years have the study hall.

Another good chapter. I dont have that much beyond saying it was good and wats below is really more beta reading kinda stuff.

First a brit-pick: In the UK it is not counter-clockwise but anti-clockwise.

And another small characterazation comment:
I suppose the events being diffrent might explaine it but, Percy was really quite friendly in the first 3 books. He was very eager to do what what right and proper and that included being polite and helpful to everyone, especially younger students. He was a bit popus in a silly way but not aarogant. He was the one in book one (not fred or george) who said that Snape was after Quirrles job. When you did the sorting you had him get mad over it. Percy did some dumb stuff in cannon as he got older but it was a progression, he is not evil or mean.

Author's Response: Percy is affected in subtle ways by the AU situation. There's more on that in later chapters. That aside, yes, I have modified him a little. Thanks for paying attention.

One cannot exist without a reference, so what is a reference for one but the perceptions of everything not one? Can one really contain any surprises from the perspective of everything? Counting of one is less than sufficient distraction.

Two or eight must make one decision. The remembrall sparkles with clouds, the forecast is not one to enjoy.

Author's Response: A reference by nature is a convenience of the imperfect mind.
Two and Eight is Ten. But it is also Four, and Six, and Sixteen. Hmm?

Hello,

I've enjoyed your story immensely. I wait with excitment and antcipation for every new chapter. I don't have any suggestions except keep doing what your doing, the story is awsome

Hoping that a new chapter is right around the corner,

Author's Response: Chapter 9 has been delayed a bit as it nearly doubled in size. I hope to have it online later this week.
Thanks for reading.

Wonderful! I just finished reading up to and thru chapter 8! Amazing that something happened in the wizarding world that Dumbledore doesn't know about!!!

PLEASE do not make Hermione more nosy than what she already is!! In every story I read, everyone writes her as the nosy busybody who buts into other people's business.....hopefully you will have Ginny AND Harry tell her to but out of their business!!! (PLEASE - I'll send you cookies!! LOL)

Can't wiat for an update!

Author's Response: There's a big difference between 'nosy' and 'curious'. The latter is much more polite than the former. Besides... Hermione can be dangerous in her own way.

you have a fantastic story going hear and are developing it into something very difrent from most bonded storys, particulary in that the rest of the familey is finding out earler (This may not be a good thing as if they suther hostile reactions to there bond then it quite possable that they would cut everyone eles of and simply rely on each other) ron`s reaction should be absoultly priceless and possable vry damaging to any futer frendship to harry. also i was a bit surprised that harry & ginny accepted percey involment so easaly and could this come back to haugnt them in the futer. Like most other reviewers cant wait for the flying who knows prehaps ginny becomes seeker as i can defenatly see harry letting her become one instead of him as he knows how much it means to her and he can share in that enjoyment in a fairly risk free way.

Author's Response: I've always wondered why Harry and Ginny would want to hide such a thing, so I decided to explore the options.
Molly didn't give the kids much of a choice about Percy, did she?
Thanks for reading.
