I have just read chapter 53 and my heart has stopped. My heart is in my stomach. I don't know what I expected but it was not that. You have written the MOST INTENSE chapter of this story. I am totally STUNNED. The writing is magnificent. You held my spell bound. For those who have not read the next chapter I won't give the ending away. I will review again when SIYE posts chapter 53. I need to reread this chapter. Please post the following chapter as soon as possible. Please.
Author's Response: I'm totally glad I've shocked and amazed once again. This chapter has been in my head for almost 2 years and It was great to finally get it out...but not as great as the next one lol. I'm working on it as we speak and hope to have it out in a week or so...thanks!

I was wrong about my review of your last chapter. I thought the last chapter had too much "fluff" which I don't mind but you always find a way to connect to the storyline. The last chapter WAS needed. It created a new attitude for Ginny, Ron, and Hermione towards Harry. You couldn't get away Ron' reaction in the first part of the chapter without the last one.
I absolutely loved this chapter. I would venture to say your best of this book. To give you a 10 underestimates your talent.

Finally, the end is in sight. The last year has been hell for Harry--that he's in the home stretch must be almost a relief for him.
Like Harry, I'm wondering about what the horcrux in Nagini will take from him. Will it help or hinder him in the battle with Voldemort?

Wow! I'm wondering if that scene with the young auror was some sort of hint at a future for Ginny w/out Harry? Most fanfics would find some way to save Harry, similar to what JK did in DH, but by the genre of your story (tragedy) and your author name, I'm assuming Harry will indeed die and stay dead, so I'm trying to mentally prepare myself. That may be why I saw a little something in the interaction b/w Ginny and Kit. Anyway, powerful story.

Aha! So, here I am, reading your story! See, I had an idea... I pulled up WordPad and am now writing my review as I read... It works better, you see, becuase normally when I review, by the time I'm finished with the chapter I've forgotten things... So, I pulled this up to review as I read... I'll copy and paste it into the review box when I'm done... And now, onto the story!
Ohh!! Ron, I love him!! He is so loyal to Harry! That is so sweet. Aww, Fred and George... Gotta love them. They are right I guess, about how it's easier to laugh about things...
Ohh, I wanted Ginny to fight!! I want her to be with Harry! Ah, well, I'll see what happens.. Hmm, how many months is Tonks pregnant?? I was thinking that maybe she would go into labour in this chapter, during the battle... I dunno... I think it was because of the look it said she had that I got that idea...
Ahh!! I got it right, Tonks is having the baby! Cool!! :) I can't wait to see the baby boy! And Kit is right... At least there is a bit of happiness guarunteed...
Aww! Percy... I'm so proud of him! He showed his Gryffindor spirit, he was so brave. I want to give him a hug... *hugs Percy* Lol.
Oh no! Oh no! Uh Oh!! Voldy knows!!!! *gulps* NO! Snape!! I was just beginning to like him!! I actually screamed out loud when he died... Lol...
OH GOD, NO!!! HARRY!!! That was my reaction.. yes, out loud... Lol... I better find out what happens to Harry in the rest of this chapter! Or else... Lol... I'll keep reading before I make more threats. Ohh, hey, maybe Harry will be able to come back behind the Veil because he had a part of Voldy's soul, that is the part that dies, and he still lives?? That would be cool! If only he could bring Sirius back! Because Harry will NOT die (or if he is dead, he will NOT stay dead!)
Oh my god!! He didn't go through!! YAY!! Oh... ouch, that sounded painful... poor Harry.

I was sure he was going through the veil. I'm so glad he didn't. I figured he would go through, talk to Sirius and come back and finish him off. But i definitely like where this is going.
Good old Harry's back. Gotta love that cheek! I'm really curious as to how all of this is going to go down. I can't even guess what's going to happen with him and Voldemort. So I'm just going to say 'Great Job' and can't wait for more!

First of all THANK YOU! for not stopping when harry was flying toward the veil.
I could feel a cliff hanger coming and I had to glance down the page to make sure the AN wasn't right there!
Is it bad I want Harry to straight up tackle Voldemort through the veil? I usually dont put predictions in my comments just in case I'm right, but I never am, so there you go.
I love your Ron btw. You've got the perfect mix of oblivious and loyalty and passion, and I adore him!
Anyway, good luck on finals, mine are next week so I'm assuming yours are about here. Hopefully they're soon so you can have summer vaca time to write!
Author's Response: Oh...I want to tackle old Voldy right through the veil too...but it won't happen quite like that lol. I love Ron too...I've always seen those traits in him in canon, but wanted to explore him deeper. So I'm glad you enjoy him. Finals are in 2 weeks for me. They won't be too bad...but there's 5 of them. Plus I have another 10 page paper due at the end of this week. But hopefully I'll be able to buckle down and write during free time. Thanks!

GAH! The suspense is killing me!!! I love and hate you at the same bloody time lol.
I don't know what I can say... I'm still in shock and awe over this AMAZING chapter.
The only thing I can think of, is that I almost hoped that in the end, right before the battle begins (which I can't wait to read) I was almost begging Harry to horribly mock Voldy with an role reversal from the Goblet of Fire...
"You have been taught how to duel, Tom Riddle?" said Harry softly, his excited eyes glinting in the gloomy darkness. "We bow to each other, Tom," said Harry, vending a little, but keeping his confident face upturned to Voldemort. "Come, the niceties must be observed... Dumbledore would like you to show manners... Bow to death, Tom..."

Author's Response: I tried not to make Harry seem too much like Voldy at the end. I wanted him to still be cocky and confident in his own right, but not cruel and mocking. Thanks!

Okay, wow. So much to love in this chapter. Tonks going into labor, every single thing Ron does or says, Percy's Weasley stubborness (I always thought he had it in him!), Snape's death, so many little things.
And then the big things. I have to say, I don't like Ginny being left out of the battle. I get why JKR did it, and I get why you're doing it too, but ... ah, I don't know. I'm not about to let it change my opinion of the story, though.
And for the final battle! The Death Chamber is a great place for it. I do hope that Harry somehow manages to survive, but I realize that it would a bit silly to expect a happy ending for this story. Still, I can hope! - Patrick
Author's Response: Yes...Percy is certainly a Weasley in that respect. lol I wrestle with leaving Ginny out of the fighting too...but don't worry...her part to play will be just as integral and important in things to come. Thanks!

Waiting with bated breath for the outcome... I really thought Harry was going through the veil there. Glad he didn't. And I'm angry that Severus is dead... out of curiosity, why didn't Remus notice the two figures in the middle of the room AND the body crumpled nearby? I think he would have seen that...
Author's Response: I was going to stop this chapter right when Harry got hit with the spell and blasted towards the veil, leaving you wondering if he fell through...but I thought that would be too mean lol. And it's just a oversight on my part about Remus not noticing Snape's body...I might go change that now that you pointed that out! Thanks

You have set up the final fight masterfully. I almost don't want this great story to end. But, I need to know how Harry is going to take out V. I'd like to see Harry discharge his entire magical powers on Voldt. as he already believes that he is to die anyway. He would noblly give his life to save the entire wizarding world. Ever since you introduced a pregnant Tonks I believed that she would deliver during the final battle. Will she pay a high price and lose Remus. on the same night she has their child........Oh I hope not.. And with Ginny at the infirmary I suspect that Harry will be brought in with terrible wounds and they'll all have to wait to see if he surivives. Wonderful, wonderful chapter. You have skillfully written so many Great chapters. This story deserves a rating better than 10.
Author's Response: Thank you very much! I feel the same way about the end of this. I don't want to end...but yet I need to have resolution to this story. I'll probably take a break after it and then write whatever other plot bunnies i have running around. I love it when readers give me their predictions and guesses on the story.
