This is one of the most brilliant 7th book fics I've ever read, and I read all 51 chapters nonstop in a day and a half and almost skipped all my mealtimes.
The story is well-written and the plot is well rehearsed.
You are doing a great job, and I hope you are planning to keep it up.
Thank you!
Could you give us some insight as to when you will be updating next?

Author's Response: Wow! I'm glad you didn't skip all your meals...that wouldn't have been good. But thank you for your dedication and I'm glad you found this story. I am hopefully going to be finishing the next chapter tonight or tommorow sometime.

I thought this chapter was forced. It didn't help the story along. It did make it more confusing. I mean the Real Harry is there then he is not. This chapter didn't flow.
I still like your writing and parts of this chapter were good. For instance Ginny seeing Harry;s back in the shower. I liked how you integrated H/G seen with plot development. I also liked the entrance of Harry. That was brilliant.

...fifty one chapters...

fifty one chapters, that I've read in the space of about three days, and they were probably the most amazing fifty one chapters. I love that final twist--where Harry goes sort of dark there, and follows Voldemort. I like how you brought in Draco, made his story seem like something that we should pity, a lot like in canon...

You have an awesome writing style, and your story is absolutely wonderful, keep up the good work, and update soon!

Author's Response: Wow! Congrats on taking the time to read all this in 3 days! My hat goes off to you. Thanks!

Ohhhhh... I don't really have anything to say. Damn, well I guess I do. Good cha- well, scratch that, excellent chapter. I just hope you update soon. But take your time, I suppose I can forgive you for a long wait if you make this next chapter as good as this was.

Author's Response: Next chapter is coming along really well. Hopefully by the end of the week i'll have it out!

I'm really glad you didn't write any sex into this chapter. It just wouldn't have been right or safe. Good decision on your part. And I loved the scene with Harry eating and everyone being so tense... it just hurt, and I love things that hurt in that way - that sort of broken but slightly hopeful way. You're so good with angst!
I'm sad in a way that we're nearing the end of this fic, but I'm really excited to see what the end IS. Looking forward to chapter 52!!

Author's Response: I was flirting so long on whether to write a sex scene into this chapter. Either Ginny forcing Harry and it ending up being a one-sided, void of emotion thing or the other way around. But it just didn't feel right. So I'm glad that you enjoyed that decision. Thanks!

Oh my, this story is great! Parts make m laugh and parts make me cry. I can't wait to read more. Please update soon.

Author's Response: I'm glad I can evoke that range of emotions. Thanks!

Wow, it feels like the ending is close now. Draco’s prediction about Harry’s fate a couple chapters ago—that he’ll die in order to destroy the horcrux or he’ll survive removal of the horcrux but it will destroy his mind—seems to be your warning to us readers. After all Harry has been through, and especially the months as a DE and all the terrible acts he was compelled to do, he’s not going to get a happy ending from you like he did from Jo. (Of course your penname is probably a bit of a give-away too….)

Snape’s assistance has been instrumental in getting Harry to the point where he’ll be able to defeat Voldemort. At least you gave Harry the opportunity to see everyone one more time in a peaceful setting.

Author's Response: Yes, the ending is coming soon. But I wouldn't say that everything looks so bleak and dreary for our hero. Draco's predictions may ring true to some level...but you'll just have to wait and see how things go as this story runs the last leg of its course. Thanks!

This isn't even the climax but you can surely feel the surge begin. You write the tender moments so well and there are so many places where our hearts begins to break for Harry but you continue to add even more heart breaking moments. Poor Harry, poor fan fiction reader. How much more can we take. ;-) So glad Harry can grin to himself, knowing that Voldemort unwittingly is showing/teaching Harry how to defeat the wicked wizard. That chapter is one I thoroughly anticipate. GREAT chapter as always.

Author's Response: I'm sorry...but I'm going to continue to be mean as we finish this up. hehe. I love that sort of power, it's intoxication almost. lol. Thanks!

Amazing chapter.

Loved the reunion. It's almost a shame Harry and Ginny aren't together more often, since you write the interaction between the two of them so well.

Great job,
Hiero

Author's Response: Yeah...I wish I could have them together all the time too. But alas, I must be angsty and tortuous somehow and their separation is a big part of it. Thanks!

Whew. After all this build-up, I can't wait to see what your final confrontation's going to look like! A lot of really excellent stuff in this chapter. Your Harry is so borderline over-the-edge and back again, and you really give the sensation of how raw he is. And the H/G scenes are very, very touching. Excellent work yet again! - Patrick

Author's Response: I can guarantee that my final confrontation isn't going to be anything you've ever read....I don't think? But I'm going to retain my slightly sadistic and tortuous nature as we continue on in this story. We're actually going to start to get into the final showdown (well, the beginnings of it) in the next chapter! So stay tuned and thanks!

what i like best about this chapter is you did what you do best. you humanized the characters and made us ache for their problems. you rock

Author's Response: I try to keep them as real and believable as possible...so thanks!

OMIGAWD!! I just KNEW Good Harry would be making an appearance soon. Thank you, thank you!! At first I thought it might be Snape, coming to let the family know that Harry was ok. You sure fooled me.
I hope that the peaceful and loving feelings that Harry had during his brief time there will give him something concrete to hold on to. I have a feeling that he's going to need all of that and more to escape Voldemorts control. Thank you to Snape for helping him control his mind.
I absolutely love how you portray Ron. So often, he's written like a bumbling side kick. YOU know that he's so much more. You've grown him into a mature young man who is fiercly loyal to his loved ones. The bit with their foreheads touching was just perfect.
Is it too late to keep hoping for a snowstorm that keeps you glued to the computer? I guess I'll just keep praying for spring break and easy classes & exams for you.
~~Spazzy~~

Author's Response: I couldn't keep Harry away from his family for long. Not only is it tortuous to him, but to all of us as well. hehe. Yes...Ron is so much more and I think we saw just how brave he was in DH. Spring break is over on Monday and all our snow is nearly melted....so I'm sorry if you're praying for those. But I am writing and we're going to start cruising now towards the end. It's coming a lot sooner than you think....maybe even next chapter...wink, wink

I've been trying to work out what I liked most about this chapter and think its the pace and the balance of it. You resisted the temptation to go too far one way or the other. A masterful job!

Author's Response: Thanks!

Absolutely beautiful; I began reading this story a while back, and had momentarily abandoned it for sake of studies. I returned when I noticed the update, and read only this chapter. Now I have an ardent desire to read the 15 or so chapters I omitted. One which will undoubtedly be practiced throughout the next coming days.

I had tears. Which is unfortunate when you're in a room accompanied by a few others. Ordinarily i'm able to obnubilate my emotions rather well. This story, of so many i've read formerly to it, is the first that was able to grasp me in such a way.

Essentially, what i'm trying to say is: "Well done. Very well done."

Author's Response: Yeah...I think going back and reading the 15 chapters would help things make a bit more sense...but I so appreciate your reading of this one. Thank you so much for your review and kind words...reading them makes for the start to a good day!

Amazing!

Part of me just wants to leave it at that, but I can't. I think this might actually be my favorite chapter, or at least it''s in the top 5.

I loved the emotion in this chapter. Not just from Harry and Ginny (but that was of course my favorite) but from everyone. Especially Ron I think. He was the first one to try to lighten things up. His and Harry's interaction was very real and emotional.

I'm glad he was honest with everyone. He was able to tell him that he was under control for now but he would lose it eventually.

The H/G scene in the bedroom was my favorite part. He told her he loved her. And he let her hold him, which I think surprised me a little. He was open about getting beat when he lost control, but I guess he had to be since she had already seen the welts.

I was riveted through the whole thing. I was anxious because I knew there was an H/G scene coming and I wasn't sure what was going to happen. It's hard to believe this chapter is really as long as it is. It's just so compelling that you lose all conception of time.

The ending was perfect. I can't say that I cry easily, because I really don't, but I certainly came close when he put her hand to his heart.

And reading your author's note, I know this story is coming to an end. It's exciting and sad at the same time. I'm anxious to see how he destroys Voledmort but this is such a great story that I don't ever want it to end.

I'll say this again in the future, but thank you for taking us for a great ride.

Jen

Author's Response: I would have taken 'amazing'...but I welcome your much longer review too! lol The scene with them alone in the bedroom/bathroom and him telling her about the welts was really hard for me write for some reason. I could imagine both Ginny's anger/sadness and Harry's shame...so I'm glad you enjoyed that. I'm relieved to see that ppl were very recieving of this reunion. I didn't want it overly sappy and fluffly...because we've passed the part of the story were we can be. Thanks again!
