Congratulations to all the winners, and my gratitude to all nominees for producing classy, compelling stories. Special appreciation to all those nominated for 'Best Drama' -- a contest that in itself seemed to be packed with all the drama of an Italian parliamentary election.

Can I just express a bit of nationalistic pride at the number of Brits in the winners slot. A quick rendition of 'Rule Britannia' is called for, me thinks. Or maybe 'Anarchy in the UK' would be a better choice?
