1. Where are the story hit counts(number of reads)?
In version 2.0 of this site they were removed, because the counts were way off. If a story had 50 chapters, and one person read the whole story it would then show 50 reads or hits. It should show only one. This issue will be corrected later in the development of the site.

2. Why are the word counts in my story off?

During the transfer of the database and conversion for the 2.0 version, the counts became skewed. To correct this, re-edit the story and save it again. This should correct the issue. If it does not. Then re-upload the chapter. This will correct it.

3. I get an error when uploading a story, or attempting to edit a story. Why ?
Please copy the exact error message, all of it and contact the site issues Tech Administrator.

4. The star counts are broken, or off from what they used to be. Why?
The star count is correct for the site. In truth there was a minor glitch on the other site. The way stories are rated, is how the stars appear. They are working on this site, because the math used is now correct. Some will notice they went from a 3 star to 5 star rating, this is because scores of 3,4,5,6,7 were all added and averaged correctly.

5. My story data is missing. The text of the story is blank. Help!
There should be an error on this screen. If so copy all of it and contact the Tech Administrator responsible for site issues. You can also edit the chapter and re-upload the data.

6. I have doubles listed in my Favorite Authors area when I click "Manage Favorites"
This is another issue with the conversion. Not serious, and easy to fix. Remove the double author name, and re-add the author. This will resolve the issue.

7. Characters in my story are blank.
To correct this re-edit the story, and add them back. This was caused with the database conversion.

8. When I upload an HTML file for my story or a WORD file, it is rejected or the text is all messed up. Why?
Please remember that TEXT files with only the approved HTML tags will be uploaded correctly and accepted. If you try to use WORD, the extra stuff that MS Word adds, corrupts the file when uploading. A fix for this is to copy the text of the HTML file or the WORD file, and paste it inside a notepad document. Then upload the plain text.

9. Some of the backgrounds, and frames on the site appear miss colored or broken. Why?
There is an error with IE (Internet Explorer) that causes the Iframes used on the site to not use the background colors, so the boxes will have a default white BG color. This is an error with IE and will be looked into but no promise of a fix can be expected.

10. Some of my stories have wired text inside them. It looks like random characters were inserted in the story. Why?
When the text inside the data base was converted, this caused the ' and " to go funky. To fix this edit the story and remove the odd characters, and add what was messed up. To date its is found to be only ' and " that were in error.

11. My question wasn't here where can I get help?
Contact the appropriate Tech Administrator depending on the nature of the problem: site or server.
