Well, Ginny’s accomplishments have been well chronicled in the five stories submitted for this Challenge.  They vary in areas but with the same goal in mind, even the nude scenes.  Now it’s time for the judges to do their thing and rate which stories deserve to be called Best Overall, Most Adventurous, and On the Dangerous Side.

The fourth category, the People’s Choice Award, is for everybody to vote for their favorite, even the Challenge Mesiter himself.  Any and all members, staff, and judges can vote for their favorite.  You have one chance and one choice so make it count.  Once you made up your mind, go to the People’s Choice Award to vote.

The Healing Team was wrapping up their recent potions making in the Room of Requirement.  Curfew was in half an hour.

“Luna, how did we do tonight?” Ginny asked.

“We now have 100 doses of Skele-Gro.” she replied.

“Hannah, your team?”

“The Hufflepuffs have 55 doses of Pepper-up and 80 Sleeping Draughts”

“And Lisa?” spoken like a roll call.

“We have all the ingredients except Bundimun Wax to make the anti-burn cream.  It is so regulated, most people don’t have it.”

“Ok, let’s call it a night.”  And with that, the remaining bits and pieces were cleaned up and the students headed back to their own houses.  Luna and Ginny were still talking about the anti-burn cream until they had to split up.

Once in the Gryffindor common room, Ginny went to her dorm to put her stuff away.  As she turned to leave, she saw what looked like a lump under her pillow.  Slowly moving the pillow aside, she found a small box.  On the side was the label, “Bundimun Wax.”  Opening the box she saw what she suspected was enough wax for about 100 doses of the anti-burn cream.

Somebody was watching out for the Healer girls.

We have about five submissions for this Challenge.  Where is yours?

The members of the Flying Squad assembled on the pitch for a so called Quidditch practice lesson.  Ginny had a bunch of colored balls in two net bags, all moving about.

“Okay, pay attention.” She started.  “These small colored balls, about the size of an apple, are your targets.  They are charmed similar to Golden Snitches.  Your job is to catch them.  They will try to avoid you.  Once you catch one, release it and go after another one of a different color.”  With that statement, she released the hold on the bag and they all flew off.

“Now, here’s your problem.  These colored balls, similar in size and mission to Bludgers, are charmed to distract and hit you.  You have to fire at them to avoid getting hit while you try to grab a snitch.  You can use any hex or curse as long as you hit them.  Think of them as Death Eaters.  This will strengthen your flying skills of shooting your wand at a moving opponent while you’re flying.  Got it?  I will release them as soon as you’re in the air.”

“You will be scored on how many Golden Snitches you catch and how many Bludgers you hit.  Ok, up you go!”

There are many things Ginny can do to help the war effort.  Teaching shooters on brooms is one way.  What’s yours?

Harry Potter is credited with training and leading Dumbledore’s Army, or DA for short, in the war against the dark forces.  On the flip side, Ginny Weasley is credited with…what?

The Challenge is to write a story of Ginny training and leading a group of students in an organization or club, totally separate from the DA, to help fight against the dark forces.  Members can be in both organizations/clubs.

Some suggestions are: The organization/club…

1. Can be legal or illegal at Hogwarts.
2. The time frame is after the DA is created.
3. Is given a name.
4. Has an instructor covertly helping them.

Rules:

1.  All general submission rules apply. Stories over 20,000 words are discouraged but not prohibited.  R-rated stories are allowed but discouraged. Judges are not required to read stories over 20,000 words or any R-rated stories.

2.  All entries must be submitted under Ginny’s Accomplishment Challenge (2012-2) sub-category of SIYE Challenges and be submitted by midnight SIYE Time, Tuesday, May 15, 2012.

3.  Multiple chapters are allowed as long as all the requirements are in the chapters that are submitted by the deadline.  Completed stories are seriously preferred.

4.  The categories for judging are Best Overall, Most Adventurous, On the Dangerous Side, and The People’s Choice Award.

Bonus phrases for extra creativity are the following. Using any or all of them is not required.  A good, creative story will always count much stronger than any bonus.

2. “That’s a [blank] of another color.”
3. “Naked Wizards have contributed very little to Magical civilization.”
4. “Time me to see how long I can [blank].”

I guess the word got out.  We had a very large turn-out of judges for this Challenge.  Seventeen judges worked over the various five Challenge stories to determine the best in each category.  The stories were quite varied in breath and scope.  It could not have been easy to judge.  And let’s not forget the People’s Choice Award.  Forty members put forth their vote of popularity.   And now the winners….

Happy Twenty-first Birthday Bonnie!  It is now February 17th in both Hogsmeade and London, England.  We the staff and membership of Sink Into Your Eyes would like to wish Miss Wright a wonderful birthday!  For that one solitary individual who doesn't know, she is the young actress who portrays Ginny Weasley-Potter, one half of that magical couple to whom our site is dedicated. 

Unfortunately the candles in the cake we procured kinda...sorta...blew it up.  Hagrid's frosted rock cakes will be served in SIYE Ballroom Two throughout the day however with a wide variety of bands lending their support.
