Banners, Images, and Archivist Application Deadline |
| It has come to the attention of the Administration that many SIYE members have banners, pictures, images, and so forth posted in their user profiles here on SIYE. In the past, we've specifically banned these from being posted within stories and summaries. The posting of them in bios has been a non-issue until now. The Administration hereby respectfully request that all images and graphics in bios be removed within the next two weeks. Such images create problems for SIYE's structure and suck up bandwidth as well. When SIYE runs out of bandwidth, SIYE is no longer accessible. Your cooperation in this issue would be greatly appreciated. As of 8 February 2006, any images found by a staff member in a bio will be removed. Lastly- I would like to thank the many people who have submitted applications to join the SIYE Staff. No applications will be accepted after six o'clock PM (MST) tonight. Just one thing about bandwidth - they don't draw SIYE bandwidth if they're linked from another site, only if they're hosted on HGNetwork.
But other than that, I agree that they shouldn't be in bios.
