“For sale: baby shoes, never worn.” Once upon a time, during the 1930’s, the great writer Ernest Hemingway was challenged to write a novel in exactly six words. He won with the above entry. The six-word novel has been popular ever since. We have done this Challenge once before, back in 2008. It was incredibly popular. I’ve been asked to bring it back for another round. No, I spell my pen/screen name differently—no relation. The author’s challenge is to write a story with exactly six words—no more, no less, no recycles from the 2008 Challenge. All entries are to be submitted by e-mail to stubbornjack@gmail.com with the subject titled Hemingway Challenge. No more than five entries per e-mail and only one e-mail per day. Please do not submit entries under reviews. The entries are to be in this format: "six words" by "penname" All entries are to be submitted no later than midnight, Sunday, November 15, 2015. The four categories are Best Overall, Serious, Humorous, and Totally Unexpected. The aim here is to have fun, to promote Harry/Ginny, and to sharpen our writing skills. Great luck to everyone! Oh my goodness, this just might be the thing that gets me back into writing fanfiction. I won one of the categories way back when, it was pretty exciting.
