“Blast you Ron!”
“Blast me where Hermione?”
Gripping the shovel, she turned quickly, hitting him in the side of the head, and knocking him to the ground. “Ron you dweeb, you scared the wits out of me! What are you doing here? Are you hurt?”
“Hermione, do you think we can ever spend five minutes together without you wanting to kill me?” She helped him up, and he checked his hand to see if it came away with any blood from the side of his head.
“Ron what are you doing here?”
“Thank you Hermione. No, I’m not going to die Hermione. I’m fine Hermione. Ouch!”
“Ron what are you doing here?” she repeated yet again.
“I’m here to tell you I’m in love with you, and that we’ve got to do something about Harry and Ginny.”
“Well of course we do. They belong together, and Harry can’t… What did you say Ron?”
“I said we have got to do something about them. Harry loves my sis’, and she’s like a zombie right now without him. Then he thinks that he can tackle You-Know-Who all by his lonesome.”
“Ron what did you say to me?” She was certain that she had heard him correctly, and wasn’t going to let him change the subject.
Ron knew she had caught what he said, and there was no turning back. He first felt sick, but then suddenly felt something else deep inside that gave him a new strength and a new courage. Very slowly and deliberately, he repeated it. “I’m in love with you. I know I’m not much of a catch, but there must be some tiny bit of brain in my head if I can find the best girl in the world. I had to tell you Hermione. I’m really scared here, but I had to tell you. I know you couldn’t ever love me…”
“Shut up Ron. Of course I love you. Don’t give me that look…I am in love with you. Live with it!” With that, she grabbed his lapels and initiated a very long overdue kiss. This is how I had this couple say it in The Three Ginnys. Now It's Harry's turn...and yours as well to decide how he will say those three little words. |

I was originally going to offer a scene where James says those three little words to Lily...or vice versa. Sir Ollivander voiced an interest in this, however, which actually was part of the first thing I ever wrote.
