2009 Semi-Annual Fund Drive (Concluded) |
| In light of the fact that SIYE does not advertise or charge patrons admittance fees to access the archive, it is necessary from time to time to raise donations in order to ensure the site's continued existence. Because the entire staff works for SIYE on strictly a volunteer basis, the money raised is used only to pay the hosting and domain fees for the site. Traditionally, these donation drives have occurred once a year. However, it has been decided to make this a semi-annual event in order to make the whole process easier for everyone involved as well as to put SIYE's future in a safer and more stable position. Therefore, if you can afford to donate any amount, the staff and the users of SIYE would be greatly appreciative of that. SIYE uses PayPal to collect and hold funds. It is not necessary for you to have a PayPal account to donate, but you'll have to have a credit card. The link below leads to the donation page. ”DONATE!” As always, the staff, the users of SIYE, and I will be extremely grateful for any support you can provide. Thank you much, Robert L. Scott President, SIYE Update as of 19 Oct 2009: Our goal was $600 for this fund drive. To date, we've received many generous donations that total just above that. I suppose that concludes the fund drive for this half of the year. I would like to thank everyone- we really couldn't do this without you. We will hold another fund drive come March, though anyone is welcome to donate between now and then. |

Sibling Creature: Well, if we were to raise as much as $1200, we could skip the 2010 Annual Fund Drive in March . . . . but as it is, I'll be thrilled if we raise as much as $600. Thanks. :)
