If you want to write something in your story but you think you may have heard or read it somewhere else, try to give the originator the credit. As long as you explaine it's not your work and may be someone elses, it's not plagerism. Accidents can happen. Plagerism is more deliberate. This was a good question. Lord Dreadnault came out of the woodwork on 2005.05.17 - 11:23AM to say: LuckyHP: Give credit where credit is due and you'll be just fine. :) The plagiarizer I was referring to copied a story word for word. So no need to be overly worried. Thanks! LD/RS Myk came out of the woodwork on 2005.05.22 - 04:36AM to say: Could you possibly tell me which story it was that was plagerised? I don't want to send hate mail or anything, besides you said that you've redirected the emails. It's just that if it is a story I've been reading on here I'd like to read the original. I understand if you cannot tell me. However, if you are reading this particular story, go and read the reviews. We have stated that the author's account has been seized. Other reviewers left reviews that will clearly inform you. One reviewer also left the site of where the original story is posted. | |||||||||||

What happens if you are trying to write a fanfic (still in the act of do it) but not sure if you have accidently plagerised something? Should just post in the Author's Note that where you think you took the line from or something like that?
