Technical Bulletin - Silver Trinket Awards |
| NOTICE As of July 1st 2006 we are currently in the process of automating the Dumbledore's Silver Trinket Awards. Please do not send your nominations to SIYE via email (for months after and including July 2006). For the month of June 2006, please continue to email as normal. Stories you are allowed to nominate will display a link (near the top, under the summary) that will permit you to choose the story or author for a trinket. Nominations for best author must be done through a story that has been updated in the current month.(Per the DSTA Rules) Things you can do:

The poll and declaration of winners at the end of the nomination period will be generated automatically with the top five nominees in each category qualifying (for this reason alone nominations MUST be submitted via the site.). Authors will be informed of each nomination they receive via a personal message (which will include the story that earned them the nomination (if applicable) and the category). Current nomination counts will not be publicly accessible until the period for nomination has ended. Additional information and non-significant updates regarding this project will be made available in the Tech Center under the topic DSTA (Trinkets) Failure to use this new system will result in your vote not getting counted, and emails will be ignored for July nominations. Also, site administration can at will, and without notice remove or change any and all automated notices. Please post comments and direct questions about this change with this news item, and an answer if needed will be sent via PM or posted to the comment section. Thanks, and good luck to all authors! Brittpinkie, any story that was posted after 12:01am on July 1 will have the links. Spencer, that is up to Tom and Valerie, so they would have to answer that

I should add, that with my answer Spencer, all stories, even those that were challenge stories will have the link to vote for a DSTA

I would like to thank everyone who used the new system to nominate my latest story, "Oh Baby!" for July. I am scratching my head about having it in the Angst and Action/Adventure catagories however. If you have a chance to read it you will see my confusion. Thanks again regardless. The new system is as incredible as the voting one was. Eric B.
