Deadline for Challenge Submissions
The deadline for submitting entries for the MoM Open House (2-2006) Challenge is approaching fast. April 15 is only 6 days away. We have one entry so far. Are you going to let that one story win everything without a fight?

Hey... you're blowing my chances of sweeping all the prizes! LOL! No, seriously folks, give me some competition. It's not fun winning if there is no other choice out there. :-( Come on, get those entries in.

Torak came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 04:49PM to say:

I haven't had time to even start on an entry, even though I really like this challenge. I'll get mine written when - if - I have time, and just post it in that category. Of course, we could always do a rerun in a few months' time.

ginnymwp came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 05:09PM to say:

I'd really like to enter, but haven't had time to do a story...will try my best to get it done within the next few days.

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 05:11PM to say:

Okay, what if I said I was Dudley and not one of Potter's freaky little friends was going to beat me in this contest? Now that has to spur some competitive quills into action!

AdminQ came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 05:55PM to say:

I could always enter my test story with some slight mods in the contest. It did pretty good until I removed it.... muhahaha

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 06:23PM to say:

NO!!!!!!!! NOT THAT... PLEASE!!!!!! ANYTHING BUT THAT!!!!! I WANT SOME CHANCE TO WIN!!!!!! I'LL NEVER BEAT THE TEST STORY!

Torak came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 06:38PM to say:

I miss the test story.... Where did it go? How many reviews did it get? Why did you kill it? I miss the test story....

DQBunny came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 07:03PM to say:

I've got a story I've been working with off and on, but I just got a new job Friday and now have a cross-country move to look forward to. Yay! So, hopefully I can get something done by Saturday. If not, maybe I'll just post it in the future as a non-challenge story.

dramaqueen came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 07:14PM to say:

Ha, yeah right. The closest I've ever gotten to writing a challenge was a few challenges ago witht he one where Ginny was in jail. Usually when I read them I can at least SEE scenes in my mind, but never put them together. I got nothing when reading this challange. You people are on your own!

DQBunny came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 07:17PM to say:

At least it's better than being haunted by a scene starring Gred and Forge, dramaqueen. ^_^ That has a tendency to steep inside your brain and remain lodged there while you plot nasty tricks to play on your co-workers.

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 08:14PM to say:

You have nightmares about Gred and Forge too? LOL!

Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 08:17PM to say:

DramaQueen - haven't you ever been to an Open House before? I went to one put on by a Dow manufacturing plant in Connecticut. They were giving out bags of free household cleaning products for the visitors. My house was never so clean the two weeks after that visit to Dow.

ChickenIsGood came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 08:31PM to say:

Had no ideas until this post came up. I studied the challenge and now the only problem is how to present the idea.

dramaqueen came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 08:50PM to say:

Oh, sure I have. But I totally drew a blank on this challange. I'm not sure if it was the move or everyone else feels the same way as me, but this looks to be easy judging...

Professor Scroll came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 09:05PM to say:

Good luck to all. The ideas are tumbling around, I just have to find time to write it. I hope to finish this one before the deadline.

Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 09:27PM to say:

Great Pilsners! I go away for a couple days... It is only Sunday (here) and War And Peace really was written in two days and seventeen bottles of beer. I will have mine posted as soon as I dry out from my Army exercise (I'm wringing out my rifle after that rain). We are still going to have a great Challenge! Faith! Fortitude! Scottish ales! Have I ever lied to you...stupid question. (cue Hedwig's Theme, then Hogwarts Forever). Eric

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 09:54PM to say:

Thank Heavens! Some competition! Of course, I still intend to win! :-)

Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.09 - 10:00PM to say:

Harry and Ginny win! ZZZZ...long weekend. I'll be back in the morning (our time). Eric

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 11:16AM to say:

By my count, that's a possible seven stories, not counting mine. Cool! I hope everyone is able to submit them by the deadline. I'm dying to see what others thought up. This was a tough one.

Ginebra Wood came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 05:26PM to say:

Come on! I can´t judge only one fic! WE WANT MORE WE WANT MORE (he got off, he got off...)

DQBunny came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 05:54PM to say:

Ah! Spenser posted! Now there's two!

Spenser Hemmingway came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 05:58PM to say:

I'm going to sleep now. I should have deleted the part about the killer pastry chef much sooner. Eric

Potter47 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 06:25PM to say:

I've posted one, that makes three...

ChickenIsGood came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 09:30PM to say:

I make four. I wrote it without budging from my computer with no ideas at all- with very little sleep.

Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 09:57PM to say:

Everybody - and every one is appreciated. : )

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 11:13PM to say:

ChickenIsGood - Did you submit your story yet? I don't see it.

ChickenIsGood came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.10 - 11:32PM to say:

No validation yet, it is submitted. This is some good competetion, I'm somewhat dwarfed.

Knightsaber came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.11 - 02:28PM to say:

I'll have to write one then. Is it fair to judge my own submission or can I skip over mine? :)

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.11 - 07:36PM to say:

I've been told there are enough judges that it is okay for you to judge your own. Get to writing! ;-)

Sir Ollivander came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.12 - 01:16AM to say:

Knightsaber - yup. You can judge your own story. I think I have plenty of judges to keep it quite fair.

Ginebra Wood came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.12 - 02:43PM to say:

yeah! at last something to judge!!!

Knightsaber came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.13 - 02:37AM to say:

Thinking...thinking *eyes clock*...thinking faster.

J Daisy came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.15 - 09:47AM to say:

Would anybody be so kind as to enlighten me as to where to find the Challenge Rules and such? (Yes, I have...*problems.* No need to mock me.)

lecook4 came out of the woodwork on 2006.04.15 - 10:58PM to say:

J Daisey Scroll all the way down on the Home Page until you get to the bottom. There is a bold clickable link that says News Archive. This will pull up all the news for the last millenia. You just scroll down until you see the original announcement. It will give you all the info.
