Hey there boys and girls!In just over a week, June 27th, LeakyCon will be opening here in Portland, Oregon. While Sink Into Your Eyes does not have an official role at the Harry Potter convention, I, for one, might just drop our name a time or two. It would also be great if any of you, our membership attending might get together there sometime and somewhere. I also hope to post photographs to the SIYE Facebook page, as well as to my own, and a group picture would be fantastic.As an Administrator, as well as the local resident, I suppose that I'm the point of contact with any questions. 007 can say he had it easy. Harry Bond just had to live through our two stories. It was the judges that had the hard time to pick the winners from Her Majestic’s best. It may sound easy when there are only two stories. But with three categories, it’s all or nothing. And therefore…the winners are….

The Harry Bond 007 Challenge (2013-2) is Now Closed
The Harry Bond 007 Challenge is now closed. Bond’s mission is successfully completed. Now it’s time for the judges at MI6 to study the post-mission script and determine the outcome for Best Overall, Originality, and Characterization.
Everybody else, regardless of their reading clearance, can place their votes in People’s Choice Award. But remember, you get one shot at one vote. You cannot change it later. So make it count.
All the judging will be completed and the winners will be posted on Friday, May 31, 2013. A hardy “well done” to our two authors who accepted this mission. Hip, Hip, hooray!

An April Fools Challenge?
The 2012-4 Challenge was called “The Bond,” concerning the soul bonding between Harry & Ginny. It was a successful Challenge and some chapters are still being written. However, I received a number of e-mails and comments from readers & writers’ thinking it was a play on James Bond, Special Agent 007. Therefore, I will allow you your fun for this Challenge.
The Challenge is to write a Harry Potter story based on the popular James Bond books and movies. It can be funny, dramatic, sartorial, original, whatever you want. It can be based on all the players being first years or adults after graduation or anything in between.
Rules:
1. All general submission rules apply. Stories over 20,000 words are discouraged but not prohibited. R-rated stories are allowed but discouraged. Judges are not required to read stories over 20,000 words or any R-rated stories.
2. All entries must be submitted under “Harry Bond 007” Challenge (2013-2) sub-category of SIYE Challenges and be submitted by midnight SIYE Time, Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
3. Completed stories are seriously preferred. Multiple chapters are allowed as long as all the requirements are in the chapters that are submitted by the deadline.
4. The categories for judging are Best Overall, Originality, Characterization, and The People’s Choice Award.
